They didn’t want to lose radar missile count when going from the F-4EJs to their new plane, so it had to carry at least 4 Sparrows. GD had already prototyped the attachment points on the landing gear doors, so that was included in the proposal.

That’s one interesting way to phrase it

What that user said was a saying and not a malice attack hence why I told them about it instead of deleting there post!

Since there’s too many replies to go look through, has this been posted? You get a good look at the ML seeker head.

Strange how they never mention the MT or show it off. Almost as if…

they did mention it in the brochure they handed out in that airshow

Uploaded 3 Months ago, only mentions Kh-38MLE again.

Definetly quite interesting.

They posted a French dubbed version of this video 4 months ago.
The English version linked below was posted 2 years ago.

So far, they’ve only mentioned on the MLE.
They removed mentions of the MTE from their Russia language site. Still exists on the EN version.

Only ‘proof’ so far is a brochure from Airshow China 2024, which doesn’t really prove anything that it doesn’t exist outside of a mockup form.

The different seeker heads could be simply explained by what they have on their own website.

One could be inertial + semi-active laser
The other could be inertial + satellite + semi-active laser
