Yes, MT is faker than AJ but not by much since both differ from what was planned
And I’m using American Rafale as a similar example as AJ, it’s just that Japan and Russia get special treatment for things that don’t exist

Both are pretty close in fakeness but MT slightly more because of seeker
The fake part is the fact it’s under Japan which it never was.
Bias is the fact they received something that was never theirs. At this point just add Rafale to China, they deserve it.

Man… I played both f15e and f18 on grb and for me f18 is much better just cuz its much more manouverable. It bleeds speed just like su30 but it also wont get into such high speeds as su30 tho.
F15e is quite a brick for grb. Maps are just too small for it

No, 38MT is much more fake than F-16AJ. Without much effort, back then, an “F-16AJ” could have been assembled, painted, and delivered to japan, as per the brochure or even the in-game implementation.
The Kh-38MT is missing the one thing that differentiates it from the ML.

Japan as a nation in the game got it’s abilities and performances altered by using something it was never theirs.

in any case this discussion isn’t about the in-game F-16AJ and its addition. It’s about what capabilities it has and how they are not fictional unlike the Kh-38MT which is entirely fictional.

They couldn’t receive F-2 as it was too advanced for that time, which leaves them at receiving nothing.
I believe F-16A is better than nothing.
The only part that isn’t confirmed to be built is the seeker, while all other parts of the missile are pretty much real.
That thing is at the worst a Frankenstein weapon just like Kikka in the game is a Frankenstein vehicle.

the 9B only has a burn time of 2 sec to reach mach 2.5 and after that it relies on basically momentum
38MT has 2 sec burn time and 8 sec of static thrust which makes it reach far more than 9B and gives it better manuverability
given that it also has IOG it help against target lobbing more agressively
and 38mt can lock front aspect and you cant CMs it

all you have to do is pull the same maneuvers you would to defeat the early heatseekers since the 38MT only has a track rate of 6 degrees a second. The laser one however does whip round faster but trying to lock a laser in front aspect on a fast moving target is basically impossible.
Source: Me i got A2A kills with both during my su-25sm3 spading recently it was painful and you had to choose your targets very carefully.

The seeker is the defining feature of the Kh-38MT.

Basic Kh-59 have 40 km range. Kh-59M have 115 km range what can be problematic.
40km is still around 4 times the range of most AAs
