F-16AJ is exactly like the Kh-38MT, both are fake AF brochure only and both should be removed permanently.
The key thing I think would be to actually implement Anti-Radiation Missiles, as they would take up stations, while not being useable against non-radiating targets (e.g. tanks), in exchange for reduced SP cost, as well as semi-automated handoff of targets to missiles simplifying acquisition.
this would permit higher performing SAM systems to be justified, or the introduction of shorter-range strategic class SAMs, or static Early Warning radars as AI infrastructure.
The other would be to implement more vehicles with cannons that have access to HE-VT, and better radars (e.g. Sgt.Stout) so incoming ordnance can be more reliably intercepted.
Can somebody confirm or deny if that container is UKR-OE? If yes we have thermal for Su-34 (M433 Raduga-VM) so practically another option to replace Kh-38MT.
It looks like it have rectangular window in bottom of that module (so no front view but better than nothing).
fake but also real
F-16 is a real plane while KH-38MT is not
but the F-16AJ is just Gaijin being lazy and they decide to do a copy paste instead of adding the F-2
You forgot about Ho-Ri Production which is still in the game.
F-16A is real, but Japan never really flew it.
That’s like giving vehicles from different TTs to each and every nation to fill in the gaps and as long as the vehicles are real, it should be fine, right ?
38MT is pretty much the same missile as 38ML but with a different seeker type which RU already uses. It’s pretty much the same level of fiction as the F-16A under Japanese flag.
Also German MiG-29G with R-27ER,ET, T is pretty much fake.
They were invited to a demonstration, and got to tag along in a chase plane. And, anyway trialed / demonstrated equipment is sufficient for addition, don’t forget the Swedish; AHS & Mi-28.
So to some degree the F-16AJ meets certain relaxed criteria. Though I do think it could probably stand to be replaced with the F/A-18J or -18L
It still annoys me that we didn’t get the gear door sparrows on the AJ.
A bespoke mechanic, for a copy-pasted airframe that can’t get reused?
Never going to happen.
The same way the US rarely actually receives airframes that can’t (won’t) be duplicated into at least two other trees.
How many hours did F-16AJ had in service for Japan ?
How is that at all relevant?
If they were to rename it F-16 FSD #2, F-16A-10 (Expeditionary), or F-16A-15OCU ( Peace Naresuan I ), and replace the roundels would that sort the issue?
I dont think F&F Brimstones (or F&F ground attack munitions in general) are healthy for the game, and personally believe they should be relegated to air modes only, but gaijin strictly adhering to reality with NATO at the expense of game balance, while just taking an “anything goes” attitude with the Kh-38MT and seemingly Russia in general is annoying
I agree, the game should have stayed with laser guided bombs being the most advanced A2G munition for balance’s sake
too late now
Is it 0 ?
Just as much as Rafale has in RU air force, or many other examples.
Same patch, and bullet despawn range was caliber based, so it had more range than the 35/30/23 mm based SPAA on top of having proxy shells.
The Shturms and Atakas on the Mi-35M had less range and it had a far harder time at defending itself against planes. Everyone that could went for the much stronger AH-1Z. That’s why I grinded it out at the time too.
And the AH-1Z was added with 1.81, a year before the first counters appeared. Talking about introduction dates, the FJ-4B VMF 232 was added in 1.79.
Getting a disproportionate amount of kills is also a function of the plane using them getting a disproportionate amount of spawns. The Rafale isn’t really doing worse despite going up against stronger SPAA.
This reminds me that we should revive the Centauro thread for Russia. xD
- It is not a plane, and…
- like the R2Y2s it’ll very likely be removed shortly after the thai ground subtree is added…
and finally 3) for that matter the Ho-Ri Prototype isn’t real either.
No, because the XF-2A was right there. Besides, japan did see the F-16A in action, much like Sweden officials and the T-80U/Mi-28. However it was and is still a poor choice.
Far as I’m aware nobody has come up with evidence the seeker even exists or that it was fitted to the Kh 38M missile body.
How many hours has the Kh 38 MT been in service with russia? Or the F-20 in USAF service?
woa woa the F20 is at least real dude. don’t insult it by being in the same paragraph as a fake ruskie missile
Real!
