The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

China doesn’t

Read the rest of my sentence lmao

Doesn’t make sense though because Germany also has Kh-29s.

Russia would get 5 of them on a single aircraft with a targeting pod.

Yes 2 Kh29s on an aircraft with no tgp or anything. I didnt count it here because its not a top tier aicraft

In any case, Russia doesn’t have the capability for large scale manufacturing of IIR seekers for missiles which is why they rely on TV seekers like that in the Kh-29. That’s not a licence for Gaijin to add fictional missiles, that’s just a reality of playing the Russian tech tree. Other tech trees have had to put up with similar capability gap issues.

It was not my point. I was simply saying that the Kh-29 is not equivalent to the Mavericks/Bombs with IR seekers

It’s close enough in my opinion and experience. And if others see it as not then it’s too bad really, that’s just what Russia uses.

you cant use the kh29 in night battles

Yeah, and how many night battles do you get. I get one maybe ever 100 regular matches. Besides, you can opt out of them anyway.

Its not just night though, any sort of bad weather, fog, low clouds, low sun make it impossible to use effectively

29TD is still better than 65B tho

Fog also significantly effects then range of IR seekers, and clouds will completely stop them. You can test it for yourself if you like.

IR and TV are two different things.

I know… but they are both fire and forget via contrast

the thing is that 38mt also have IOG which even if it lose lock it will try to find a target and guide itself there

You can’t use 65Bs either yet here we are

are they telling you to use the 65B at top tier?

So we move the SU25SM3 to 11.3 after the removal and 30 and 34 to 12.0 ?

65D he is using only on 10.7, which is totaly fine btw. cause murica.

what plane have 65D at 10.7?
