The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

No, wasn’t there an update between them?

i dont get why people say yak141 is fictional, when it had its weapons, radar, integrated and also flew unlike f16aj or probably kh-38mt.

Yeah it didnt had its IRST but most people wont care if it got removed. a lot of vehicles dont have a lot of stuff irl but have them in game (for eg. f5c didnt had its RWR, flares/chaff and aim9b/e missiles IRL which it has in game)

Not super hard when there already isnt much discussion about it on the internet in the first place lol.

I wonder if there’ll be an update to the wiki page for the thing tho xD

KH-38MT does exist, I was killed by one in War Thunder, which is real life

Which thing? >.>

The Kh-38MT and its dubious existence

That would be grand 😁

Like WT wiki or actual wikipedia? i might go fix the actual one.

?

It definitely had an RWR as nothing Sent to Vietnam lacked one, or was refitted with one as soon as possible. The ALE-40 dispensers are a fabrication though.

And there was about a month of overlap between the AIM-9E being sent to SEA and the F-5C’s being handed over to the RVNAF, as per the dates listed in the CHECO report for COMBAT SNAP (introduction of the AIM-9J), so they at very least are contemporaneous, at very least.

Also the AIM-9E was provided to the RVNAF in small numbers, so even so those F-5A (“F-5C”) airframes were handed over (around ?'67?), they were modified to receive the AIM-9E while in service.

Defense Attache Saigon: RVNAF Quarterly Assessment, 4th Quarter FY 73

“The current AIM-9 inventory is made up of B model missiles. Forty each F-5 aircraft are now being modified to provide AIM-9E capability. Estimated completion date 17 Aug 73. We have 48 each E Missiles authorized. However, only 24 each will be called forward”
~~
“It is anticipated that 9E operational capability will be attained on or about 17 Aug 73”.

Again, not the standard the Gaijin uses.

Please provide an image or other source that references the Kh-38MT specifically; being mounted on any of the airframes that have it in game, let alone those particular versions of the airframe.

And if those aren’t going to be the standards going forward there’s ordnance that could be introduced in and around the 9.0~11.0 range that would make things real fun for anyone not on the US team.

Gotta save that before gayjin deletes it

It’s the standard I use 😏
