The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

that can fire across the entire continent

this one should be nice ~24km range

AGM-84 SLAM, wouldnt necessarily have all that much more range than AASM or KH-38 do at the moment, especially with the hard range limits on seekrs/TPod.

AGM-84 SLAM-ER has the massive range

honestly would be kinda mid because its still subsonic and would be pretty easy to intercept

Yeah… still though, would be a good alternative to the AGM-65 for a little extra range. Just make sure you still have both.

Or they could just fix the 65s flight preformance.

Either way 200+ replys since I last looked here any evidence?

i imagine JAGM would be faster?

nope still nothing

Cool

“little extra range”

I think JAGM would be a bit faster than hellfire, and hopefully they wouldnt mess up its flight profile as much

Yeah, but still largely limited to about 15-20km being generous. With KH-38 and AASM being theoretically of use out to 30km at the moment, something like AGM-84 is a reasonable option to match it for the US.

Dont be silly. of course not. Just Soviet mains trying to justfiy why they need(ed) a paper weapon and why it not even the best AGM in the game. Apparently SAL only Brimstone 1 is a better missile to the KH-38MT

Given a hard limit of about 30km on AGMs at the moment (at least without just GPS guided CCRP Yeeting) It only adds about 7-10km more range over the AGM-65. So relatively speaking, it is “a little more”.

if these missiles were to be added into the game i dont have any reason to believe that they wouldnt make a change to the hard limit of range

careful now they gonna take ur word for it and when u argue again they gonna say that “u said brim is best”

They just increased the range from 20km to 30km last major update (alongside the soviets getting their first Tpod equipped multirole… convenient…)

But we’ve had longer ranged weapons like PGM for over a year now. Should be effective out to about 50-60km but barely usable past about 25 at the moment

do you see it logical to switch range for a small amount of weapons vs changing it when you introduce cruise missiles in general to the game
they can change it when they feel like it and i see the second option as more logical
when cruise missiles would be added i would imagine defense already exists against them
otherwise they’re just risking another review bombing

From a static position at about 1200 meters the AGM-65D should be able to travel 15kms everything should go up from alt and speed from there.

I really dont follow…

KH-38 and AASM are effective out to 60-80km currently, or more practically, 30km with the ingame limitations.

AGM-65 maxes out at 23km even without the bugs,

AGM-84 is one option for a longer ranged weapon that would more closely match the performance of the KH-38 in terms of range. Or they could get JAGM-F or GBU-53 but those do raise questions of quantity balancing, much like the Brimstone.

All 3 would give a meaningful buff in at least 1 key way to the US at the moment and through that maybe onto others. Such as Sweden, Japan and Israel. Britain, Italy and Germany just need SAL-Only Brismtone 2s combined with GPS-Only Spear-3s until MMW can be added. China has their own version of KH-38MT iirc.

1 half of this thread is about the fact the KH-38MT barely has an equal. The other is that it does not seem to even exist

Isnt 23km the max operational range?

(just going by stat card / Wiki)

The WT Mavs are severely under preforming.
