The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

And my counterpoint F&F munitions are just as good at dealing with SPAAs as the extremely niche case use of Brimstones (prefiring) you provided.

SPAA has to either shoot down the incoming F&F munitions as they dont require guidance from plane or put pressure on the CAS plane, which is free to fully defend.

Once the pressure is off, CAS plane can move in to engage the SPAA again. Starting this dance again.

With Brimstones, the attacking plane had to choose between fully defending and putting pressure on the SPAA, it cant do both.

plane using SALH munitions is much more vulnerable during the attack than plane using F&F munitions.

I will just leave this here.

and when two evenly matched players face each other other, player skill leaves the equation and it comes down to vehicle and ordnance capabilities. Thank you for agreeing with me.

It does usually go that way. :/

I’ve also noticed that motorola has NOT made a thread about the f-16AJ, so he can’t have been that bothered about it.

The point of prefiring is that you only get into LOS of the SPAA when your missiles are already almost there. At that point the only thing the SPAA can do is shoot down the incoming munition, which quickly becomes impossible if you send more than one their way.
That’s also not an “extremely niche case”, it’s the best engagement strategy against good SPAA players.

Except the Brimstones fly on IOG most of their flight time during this scenario, ie. essentialy turning into fancy unguided rocket, and succesfull attack hinges on getting perfect window of opportunity where you arent pressured by SPAA and Brimstone is close enough to intercept the SPAA but not close enough so that it can reacquire the targeting laser and correct its flight path.

Imma keep it 100 witchu chief, that sounds like a lot more effort than just smashing the spacebar every few seconds.

Not to mention the entire time you have to focus the SPAA whereas plane with F&F munitions can also engage other vehicles during that time. Meaning SPAA now has to choose between intercepting the CAS plane, the missile going for SPAA and missile going for friendly.

Top 1% of players performing well with Brimstones doesn’t negate the fact that it takes an incredible amount of effort to use compared to Kh-38MT.

It takes so much more mental energy and skill to dodge and fly like you are on crack than just Zombie spawn in a SU-30/34 > ripple all 6 MTs in 5 seconds > RTB > repeat.

Now save yourself from further embarrassment as you save us from having to suffer your continued presence in this thread. Thank you.

yeah there are 3-4 particular people I have noticed that seem set on dying on this hill that the KH-38MT is not only real but balanced to have in game BUT it would be unbalanced for other nations to get more advanced munitions to be in line with the MT

such a coincident aint it

Yes? That was pointed out.

That used to be difficult (you could always check where your munitions were with the tracking cam though), nowadays you have a timer that shows seconds to impact.

It is. It also can’t be countered by the SPAA unless it finds hard cover, while firing individual F&F munitions against a capable SPAA is pretty futile.

Is there a KH-38MT I, II & III that could be added subsequently?

Gaijin actually currently places a limit of 6 F&F AGMs for fixed wing aircraft. This is the only reason the F-16A Block 15 OCU RTAF in the Japanese tree can only carry 6 AGM-65s, and not 8. It has the mounting platforms for both the triple rack under each wing, and two single AGM-65 racks. It should be able to carry 8.

This is not “their own fake limitation”
this is EXISTING GAIJIN POLICY.

I think the point of this entire thread was tos how there isnt Kh-38MT in the first place, something this thread achieved with flying colors 💀

ACM mode only works when you know where things are…

conveniently ignoring all the other 38 variants hmm?

going by your amazing logic russia should only have the MK since they would be jumping to far ahead on capability

So you dont deny the fact that this entire strat hinges on chain of things to go right for the attacking plane?

So luck in other words.

I didn’t know someone could be this ignorant and dishonest at the same time.

Follow their philosophy
“Anything on par or better than them is OP”
For example they think they are the only one that should have hull armor on tanks when Leo have it they considered as OP instantly

now same thing happen they think they should have KH-38mt but brimstone shouldn’t have it LOAL FnF because it OP.
Probably if IRIS-T SLM in the game that can stop their KH-38 rampage they will call it OP again.

You can’t prove a negative, as was pointed out many times. So that statement would be wrong. Either way, most posts were talking about balance or the viability of other weapon systems in the current meta, like we were. Or just moaning, or posting bait.

Popping back over the horizon ~5 seconds before the missile impacts is neither luck nor nor does it require an absurd chain of things to go right. It’s a fairly straight forward technique that can be executed quite reliably.
