Refer to the thread I sent you earlier. It gained very little traction as it had like 20 replies and 100-200 votes and what’s even worse, almost half of them wanted to keep a clearly fake vehicle in the game even after proper additions were added.
So I guess that getting rid of the fakes ASAP isn’t that important to many people. Until it is for undisclosed reasons.
Fake is a fake, it’s actually pretty simple.

I agree but that wasn’t the reason for it to be added, it was to give a nation that had ZERO top tier aircraft a plane to try and make the game more balanced. The KH-38MT has had zero reason for it being added
I will once again say that there was a massive backlash when it came out wanting it removed this isnt some elaborate plan to just screw over russia, if that is what you take away from this once again then I suggest taking a break and go get some fresh air

Im not a fan of using G without pod, zoom is terrible and half the time you have no clue what are you even looking at until youre balls deep in enemy air defense net.

It’s clear that people didn’t care that much, as not even half a year after it’s addition thread about it died almost immediately. What’s worse, subsequent threads over the coming years are basically non existent, just like the vehicle itself.
And Japan received F-15J in the same year, so at that point fake plane should be deleted immediately, otherwise the community should be lashing out quite severely, that is if they really cared about removing fake things from the game.
Nowadays Japan has it’s own top tier with multiple vehicles, so that thing still existing in the game is egregious to say the least.
Ah yeah, it’s such a big and outstanding issue that people can’t stop speaking about it over here on the forums. If only that was true.
Also, just look at this thread that wants R2Y2s to be brought back to the game. Majority of voters actually want it back in the game, which doesn’t quite go with your narrative of community absolutely hating on fake things.

Fake vehicle gets added to fill out top tier - far from ideal
Japan received another top tier vehicle half a year later but fake one is still not removed - starting to get egregious
Fast forward to the end of 2024 and Japan received two more top tier vehicles but fake one is still not removed - alarm bells should go off by this moment and the whole community should uproar and let Gaijin know what they think about it
In hindsight we all know what happened and it’s obvious to see that community didn’t react as planned, of course if it’s assumed people care all that much about fake vehicles.
That recent R2Y2 thread pretty much confirms my claims that fake vehicles are fine until they aren’t, at least in the eyes of the average forumite.

At least they coulda added a cooler ‘fake’ vehicle like the J7W2 or Ki-43-IV instead of a copypaste F-16…
From what I could see, it has been added to give Japan something top tier worthy. Seeing how Japan now has four vehicles that are higher in BR and how AJ can’t even see top tier anymore, I think it should’ve been removed months ago.
It kinda saddens me to see that justice fighters aren’t making threads about it, I guess they are fine with having fake vehicles in the game, even after the justification for their addition isn’t valid anymore.

That is true, but it wasn’t even necessary as the XF-2A would have fulfilled the same role at the same BR. So it’s just gaijin being lazy. I would agree with gaijin’s justification IF there wasn’t a very real vehicle that could have filled that gap.

The community isn’t revolting about it as it’s not in the same league whatsoever, as you know very well.
Should it be removed? Absolutely. Is it the same as a fictional weapon which breaks top tier balance? No.

A fake is a fake, regardless of what it is. We know that for certain.
Balance is a subjective term, something being fake isn’t.
I for one think that being killed by a fake vehicle is balance breaking, as that thing shouldn’t exist in the game for starters.
