The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

Hell yea brother☕☕☕

Indeed the lack of proof of testing the missile, yes.

You cant be sure, i say this because in the secret (ish) world of development… Also, in a way gaijin doesnt have to prove anything to anyone. Not defending gaijin.

Ooor if it’s actually not, which is highly unlikely, the methods/sources used for adding it to the game are at the very least unjust.

Agreed, they can change the seeker to TV and zoom levels and mantain it in the game, imo.

What? I defend gayjin but i dont

Or remove it from the game. Problem solved. If its SOOO important then leave ML atleast

that would be a terrible change because TV guided AGMS are much cheaper to spawn also right now it feels like TV guided weapons are less susceptible to losing lock if the target drives near a wreck

and it would do nothing to address the capability gap between the very slower missiles like maverick and the mach 2+ kh38

the simplest good solution would be replace kh38MT with the experimental but much more evidence of existence kh25 with a thermal seeker

Hmmm… Thats actually very interesting, can you send whatever info you have on it?

I dont have much on hand but commonly referred to as Kh-25MPT

Thank you, ill check it out.

I assume he means this

There is also an IR guided variant

By the looks of it, they could be a added weapon replacing the 38MT, but problem is that I don’t think Su-30s and other Russian advanced aircraft carry Kh-25’s anymore

sorry it might be Kh-25MTP I cant remember off the top of my head

giving planes capability to carry old weapons is much less egregious as giving them fictional weapons that they also might not have been able to use if they existed due to seeker coolant

Why should fictional things be egregious in a game like WT that has multiple fake things ?

With all the Secrecy around the AIM-260 we can find more documentation of that being tested than we can on the 38MT. I honestly don’t believe this missile made it pass marketing.

For the looks of it, the Kh-29D also has an IR seeker.

For some reason mostly Russia gets these mythical things. The Snail turns a blind eye or seems to be nit-picky to what is added to the game when it comes to Russian stuff. Take for example the missile being discussed in this thread, that still has no proof of it existing. Extremely overpowered, most likely is a complete fabrication, breaks all balance in the cesspool that GRB is with CAS, and only Russia gets it. Why does Gaijin chose to favor Russia? It makes me scratch my head so much that I am almost bald.

Part of that argument is invalid. Gaijin favors whatever brings the most money. And as a company, makes sense unfortunatedly.

Kh-29D does not exist. Usually a mistake of the 29TD, which I think still uses TV, but I could be wrong

I think this was talked about here before

I totally agree you on that. Companies in the end always want the most amount of money being made. But that can be done with favoritism too. Something that keeps coming to my mind is why not give the EFs the brimstones they actually carry, but make them carry less of the stuff, like 6 or 5? Nope. But Russia gets this monstrosity of a missile.

it should be removed as we already have the ML in game witch will be fine

You are correct.

Well, there seems to be no evidence that Su-30SM can carry the T220 targeting pod either. (In fact, the TGP manufacturer’s website lists MiG-35, MiG-29M/M2 and Su-35 but not Su-30)
