The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

I don’t know if I am as concerned. They would have to keep the laser on them, like the EF now, and its decently hard to do that while dodging the SPAAs now.
Even better SPAAs will make it harder to do that

Not always. Otherwise the Typhoon would be far stronger than it is currently

And even when a bug report is submitted. It is not always actioned (looking at the 3+ year old bug report for SRAAM range.or the number of reports regarding the Stormer and Starstreaks using largely manufacturer materials)

We have proof of its deployment in Ukraine but only in SAL, so far this weapon is only being used against infrastructure, I doubt an IR version would be used on vehicles or armor, it seems like such an overkill system for very little strategic value.

An IR version would be useful against ships or larger targets, I really don’t think it would have been used for anything else.

Be patient lol then they will give a rocket stronger than KH38.

I see @dotSHINI is claiming that Morvran and I are wrong without telling anyone why we’re wrong.

Dang so they reverse-Germany’d the missile lmao
Wonder why they would do this…

Would Hammers actually destroy the game just like what MT did?

No bc if OP is right about Hammers (from what I’ve seen so far, he is), they will be relegated to laser guidance for moving targets

They already do.
IR guided Hammers are doing multi-frag runs.
And laser guided makes their platform even more untouchable.

I’m glad we’re finally getting new top SPAA this year.

Why? Aren’t they IIR?

They will add an underperforming SPAA to NATO full of bugs and inacuracies, but add a full capable SPAA to Russia with zero bugs.

Yeah but apparently their seeker is only good for semi-stationary targets, not moving stuff like tanks in WT

Hammer does not track targets. It activates it’s seeker 1,5km above the predesignated target, takes a picture of the general area, locates on it predesignated target and corrects itself onto it. IR hammer is a anti facility weapon, not anti tank

So just like JDAMs but with a little addition? Correct me if im wrong.

Doubt. 2S6 and Pantsir came in with a number of issues.
Pantsir still has issues in automatic mode despite manual mode being fixed later last year.
Time will tell what the new SPAA systems will have, and I’m hoping the “Pantsir is OP” crowd was ignored and they instead add SPAA that’s actually capable against CAS in-game.

Does that mean War Thunder’s implementation is over-performing according to your post’s claim here?

Entirely stationary. seeker functions in a similar method to the storm shadow where it only exists to match up the target ahead of it to the data stored in the weapon before launch.

Yes. It is a GPS with termila IR homing for situations like GPS jamming etc.

Yes
Want me to back it up?

Ok thanks

So basically boosted JDAM?

Effectively. iirc the addition of IIR can effectively nullify inertial drift by allowing correction onto the target in the terminal stage. Improved precision of the hammer something like tenfold against fortifications.
