well i hope for gaijin they find the evidence rater quickly the most op missile war thunder has ever seen being a fantasy? would be pretty hard evidence for Russian bias given how often they dismiss evidence on western equipment (f111c full bomb load has an example)
That doesn’t mean that the Kh-38ML uses the same laser seeker though. All you’re seeing is the lense meant to focus the light, and there are multiple ways to do that.
Bombs likely don’t need a large FOV, as they can’t target quickly maneuveuring targets. Missiles can however, so a large FOV via mirrors would be more advantageous.
I think it still does, it looks VERY convex to me at least :
The top of the looks like it curves in on itself
Forgive my shaky hand
Thanks for taking what I said onboard, even though you missed my main point about the missile you claim to not be MTE being too stout but I bring another image of an MLE mockup from Army 2022
Spoiler
Considering this has more of the tell tale features of russian LG weaponry (Specifically the dome shape and material) we can conclude that the one featuring brown glass and a too stout seeker may be IR or TV but considering a TV seeker isint advertised anywhere it is highly likely to be IR.
If that was the case we would see the other end of it, it wouldn’t disappear. But i see what you are trying to say, it’s likely just a trick of the light and the lens/dome bending the light.
You can see it clearer in this image:
Well, I’m not to sure about Kh-38M at the current moment, but at least for 2024 they didn’t make any MTs.
Spoiler
But seeing as its the same company who gave “Su-34” the brochure’d loadouts of a “Su-32FN” this ain’t exactly that shocking Also the same one who gave Su-25SM3 Kh-38s when it literally didn’t use them lmao
what exactly is that list and where did that come from?
Congrats on a great topic.
Considering everything that russian industry was, is and will be - I absolutely agree.
It’s either 100% fake, or >50%~ fake. There is never anything lower or inbetween.
Btw. If you would need any translations that are beyond capabilities of AI and other tools - DM me, I’ll be glad to help.
I mean its pretty self explanatory but its a list of production for air to ground munitions from 2024 for the RuAF, but its been too long since I got my hands on it so I can’t remember where its from.
Intresting how many S-8 and S-13 they are using/ producing
My reaction to that information:
The Kh-38MT is a proposed variant of Russia’s Kh-38 air-to-surface missile family, intended to feature imaging infrared (IIR) guidance. While it has been mentioned in various sources, there is no concrete evidence that the Kh-38MT has been physically produced or deployed.
The Kh-38 missile family, developed by Tactical Missiles Corporation JSC, includes several variants with different guidance systems:
• Kh-38ML: Semi-active laser guidance
• Kh-38MA: Active radar homing
• Kh-38MK: Satellite navigation
• Kh-38MT: Imaging infrared guidance
While the Kh-38ML, MA, and MK variants have been documented and are known to be in service, the existence of the Kh-38MT remains uncertain. Some sources suggest that the Kh-38MT was likely a proposed variant that has not been built and requires further funding.
Additionally, the official Rosoboronexport website, which lists Russian military equipment, does not currently include the Kh-38MT among its products. This absence further suggests that the Kh-38MT may not have progressed beyond the proposal stage.
In summary, while the Kh-38MT has been referenced in various contexts, there is no definitive evidence to confirm its existence as an operational missile variant.
yes its chatgpt but i ask it to also fact check which this is the result and yes i ask it 4 times in order to get this result
Currently, KTPB is developing guided missiles of the third generation, which, before launch, it is enough to inform in the flight task the coordinates or the location of the target, the signs of the target or the terrain in the target area.
Independent search and target detection is a characteristic feature of third—generation guided missiles. These are the X-38MLE, X-38MTE, X-59MK2, X-35UE missiles. The next step is to use guided missile guidance systems with artificial intelligence elements capable of making rational decisions in a complex target environment.
If it was at that expo in 2024 surely there’s some images of it floating around
The range of high-precision aviation weapons at the demo center’s exposition includes air-to-air missiles (RVV-BD, RVV-SD, RVV-MD and RVV-MD2), multi-purpose guided air-to-surface missiles X-MD-E, Grom-E1, X-38MLE and X-38MTE, X-69, X-29TE and X-59MK upgraded.
You know Chat GPT also uses that WT forum as a source, right? XD
chatgpt cant really fact check tho
iirc it dosent have access to the internet
i asked it not to as well as wikipedia
Yeah not surprised. Given the advent of drone that could serve as leaser designators, the Kh-38ML seems to be the superior option in 99.9% of cases.
The MT variant was likely only prototyped, and was probably sucessfully deployed, but due to the above reasons was never procured by anybody. And I doubt we will ever know if it was test fired or not.
So probably not a paper weapon, but definitely not a weapon that went into mass production.
it doesnt?
im pretty sure it does
no it dosent
