The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

They’ll find a way to make up some reason to leave as-is lol

I mean tbf I wouldn’t mind a KH29 or something with Ir. Just something so RU doesn’t have nothing but again I haven’t been fully convinced they don’t exist. Rather they seem to be in small numbers

They still have TV guided munitions

Idk how people dont realize that the current kh29 is already better than mavs despite being tv guided instead of ir

Don’t think the KH-38MT should be completely removed instead just remove the KH-38s from the Su-30SM

Kh-25MTP comes to mind.
Plus a whole lot more russian aircraft can get it.
So overall it would be a win.
Its literally a faster maverick D with a bigger warhead but a similar seeker (bad but IR).

Most nations dont have F&F munitions in the first place, and basicly only 2 have true standoff F&F munitions (Russia/France) (65D’s are also standoff, but theyre so slow and their attack vector is so bad theyre very easy to deal with).

AASM-IR may be getting nerfed, potentially to the point of being unable to hit moving targets in the near future, which basicly would just leave the Kh-38MT in a class of its own.

So RU wont “have nothing”, Kh-38ML are likely still going to be top 3 best AGM’s in-game, they wont just be 6 free kills in 10 seconds easy mode missiles like the 38MT’s are.

If they hit more than 25% of the time I’d agree. But if you move away the TV guidance seems to not do anything, especially when every other nation has had a form of IR weapons.

Things at lower BR such as the A-4E with Walleyes and 3 Saclos guides munitions has been able to do crazy things for years, but that’s never talked about.

kh29td too

A report just got accepted which gives the 38 ML/MT 70km launch range

I heard there’s contention abt that.
I do think there might be one but I’m not sure

Launch range doesn’t really do stuff when it’s limited by guidance time and also launch parameters

R-77 is listed at 80km launch range, but no way that stuff hits beyond 20km for example

Thats just an outright lie, almost no nations have IR weapons.

Cuz theres a difference between an unpowered guided bomb that a jet gets ~2 of, and 6 M2.0+ missile that top attacks to avoid cover and have 3rd gen thermals to make it super easy to find targets? 😂

For AGMs… it will

No it won’t. Because for one tgps are limited to 30km stabilize track anyways, and 2 flying low and launching from 70km away means your missile will eat the ground soon because it’s only gliding instead of boosting

You can launch from further out (for ML) and guide it when you cross 30km to ur target keeping you even safer.
Also guidance time in WT for many weapons is made up.

The things a KH-38 will kill is the same thing an AGM-65 will but slower.

Brimstones have triple the amount, and aren’t FNF, yet I’ve seen people hit 8-10 tanks in a row, then come back on another pass to hit another 2-6.

The fact you can only carry 6 KH-38MTs or 38s in general isnt the greatest (5 if you take the thermal pod), these also have the highest SP cost now.
Same with Vikhirs having the highest SP cost.

Funny how the RU things are all the highest SP now.

And it wouldn’t matter on most platforms because Su-25SM3 and Su-34 has to fly straight to guide it in which would mean them being intercepted soon. Also if you launch say 50km and rely on IOG for 20km, your missile would be gliding by then and would not be in anyway useful or maneuverable to hit moving targets

It’s literally just a text change in stats if ever

Bruda what u trying to hit? A flippin jet?
Tanks don’t move any where near as fast as to drain that much energy from a M2.0 missile

Do you honestly think Kh-38 boost the whole 70km?
