While i would like to see the I-Derby ER, it would inevitably result in a BR increase, which would make the plane suffer. 13.0 is a great BR for the kfir c.10 block 60 in my opinion. The lack of missiles is made up for with the great avionics, decent maneuverability, speed, and acceleration. It cant be as aggressive as a Su-33, F-4F ICE or other 13.0s but it excels in a supporting role. If it had more pylons for AAMs, such as ones where the targeting pod go, then yeah i wouldve like to see it at a higher BR with better missiles, but sadly it does not. If you’d like to see a Mirage III/V platform with a decent missile load, it would have to be the Cheetah C with a potential 5th missile pylon in the central one. Youd trade your radar for a downgraded one, though youd get extra missiles, irccm missiles, a MAW and more countermeasures. The Cheetah C’s engine is worse than the C.10s engine, so you’d also have to deal with that efficiently.
I just played a game with the Kfir C.10 and got 4 kills with it. 2 from dogfighting flankers :D
It would absolutely not suffer with that kit, extremely potent radar + missiles with Aim-120C-5 levels of range would not disappoint. The only thing that could let it down is the low amount of missiles and countermeasures. It needs to get them at some point in the future, even if not today, then someday. It’s the latest of the Kfir C.10 family, and if anyone wants a Kfir C.10 without the I-Derby, I-Derby ER, and Python 5, we can always get the get the regular non Block 60 Kfir C.10 with the mechanical radar and Derby + Python 4 combo.
It’s a great plane, with limitations, but it wouldn’t suffer from those additions as realistically it should benefit from them given its current matchmaker.
While the I Derby ER would make the Blk 60 Better I do not think it is the right move. If you put an 120C-5 equivalent against 12.0s, it would basically curb-stomp them every time. So, the solution would be an increase in BR to compensate for the better missiles.
As for the Python-4/5, i am completely against the Kfir blk 60 getting them in the current game, as they’d be essentially unflareable.
If you wish for a better Kfir, i recommend making a suggestion and looming into the Kfir NG, an upgrade compared to that of the Blk 60.
Historical accuracy, its drastically limited ingame compared to its IRL capabilities. Ingame it uses the Python 3 (which it never even had in Colombian service) and the Derby, when the Block 60 upgrade gave it the ability to use the I-Derby and I-Derby ER missiles. It’s severely gimped compared to how it was IRL, and is also missing the SPICE series IR guided glide bombs.
Well yes ofc, in time eventually they’ll arrive but the games not ready for them now. The devs still haven’t properly modeled IR signatures on planes (See harrier vs F-5 heat indexs), but I do believe this aircraft should get them someday in the future, perhaps the far future.
As of now it still doesn’t exist, and would theoretically be identical to the Colombian C.10 Block 60 depending on the armaments purchase for it. But perhaps depending on what it receives, it could be that lower C.10 B60 you seem to desire.
Again, there no reason to nerf this aircraft and keep it at 13.0 when they could always add the Kfir C.10 Block 60, Kfir TC.10, or Kfir C.10 around those BR ranges to replace it. It’s a similar argument to those who were against the Python 3 going to the Kfir C.2 back then if you ask me, and in the end it make it much more unique and it doubled in price overnight lmao (imagine what all those additions I mentioned could do to the C.10 B60’s price…).
That’s what makes the Kfir interesting. Obviously it will have to include the I-Derby-ER and Python 5 missiles and this will irremediably increase its BR, but the problem is that the Kfir’s avionics in the game do not correspond to reality (that information is classified in my country) because the Kfir C10 Blk 60 has an Electronic Warfare Suite and Electronic Countermeasures (this is confirmed). We have tried for a long time to suggest to Gaijin an option to add a new RWR (in the game it has the C7’s RWR) and another modern systems (Datalink, LWS, MAWS, etc.) but they demand a literal source and this will take some time to solve. The Kfir C10 Blk 60 would be a great vehicle if it were complete.
If you want to see all the information about the Colombian Kfir, check out this thread:
The model that the FAC operates in real life is the same as the game (C10 Block 60) the Colombian Kfir was modernized in 2017 (Avionics, Radar, EW, ECM, etc.) but in the game they only added the radar and BVR missiles, the rest is practically a C7 (that is wrong)
Well ofc not yet, but by the time it hopefully receives such weaponry we’ll have much higher BR jets anyway. I’m not saying it should get them now, but someday. At the very least it could get the I-Derby now (since it’s still copy paste Derby atm), and the Python 4 whenever that arrives for aircraft.
It’s strong yes, but if it arrives so will plenty of other missiles, boosting those aircraft up in BR as well. If anything adding it to this jet would put it at 13.7 at most, and I would theorize other jets going up to 15.0 by then. It only gets 4 of them too, it wouldn’t be the most broken thing in the ARH meta…
From other people, ive been hearing it has the wrong rwr, and no maws or lws that it historically had. Id much rather see those before slaping it with I-Derby ERs or Python-4s.
