I sort of prefer copy-paste for events. Imagine if gaijin locked all of the more interesting vehicles behind events. I would rather they add those to the tech tree. Maybe even add a line for “misc/prototype” vehicles.
If you have time to aim and shoot them then obviously you should be able to kill them, but in a brawl how are you supposed to win when all it has to do is click on you? The amount of times ping is a contributing factor for death is quite high for me. I have good internet and even then I get around 80-90 ping on NA servers. You can literally see in the clip the lack of any upwards spalling due to volumetric, and that was the first shot I took against the thing.

I think it’s a great event vehicle. Still, I wish the RP requirement was closer to 35k rp per two days than 45k. Seems like a lot for a gimped vehicle.
Anyways here is an almost minute long video of me shooting the “Drivers port guaranteed kill” in a head on and not killing it once!
I truly do not understand what you are trying to argue here, the fact that this thing can fight leopard A1A1’s, ztz88’s and the m60a3 is nuts. You don’t need to reply if you cant due to fear of losing your community helper position but I know you’re going to watch this. The fact people will defend a 10.0 with good mobility, the best apfsds in the game and good armor truly makes me lose hope in this community.

Didn’t know this thread would turn into the “Object 292 is op!!!” thread, but I guess I should go grab the popcorn.
(Also, as someone who owns the 292, you can kill it rather easily through the driver’s port. The ammunition will ALWAYS be stacked right behind the driver’s face. Any penetrating hit to the driver’s hatch ammo racks the tank like 90% of the time)

You honestly believe that you can consistently kill a russian tank by ammo racking it? that is hilarious. Also you wont be hitting the propellant and rather will hit the penetrator, which people have tested in the past and confirmed to be true.
This is pretty accurate, the driver port tends to prevent shrapnel from going up, and because the gunner is on one side and the commander on the other, you either kill none or only one, so you always die.

Yes Im not debating the accuracy of the mechanic, Im simply stating that it is a part of the game and was arguing against the drivers port being the so called “one shot kill” that was claimed.

If you take more than 16 rounds (which you don’t need) than the charges will be stored behind the driver yes, but if you don’t then there wont be. This conversation started from statement that “Alsom the 292 isn’t OP. It’s not even that good. It’s a gun with nothing else.” I wasnt the one who brought it up, dont blame me.
Idk what the protection analysis is doing here. I have very consistently killed the 292 through the drivers port and it doesn’t take a particularly strong round to do it. And I promise you I am not afaid of losing CH status over this. There are many things I could do that would make me lose CH status, but this is certainly not one of them. I’m not exactly toeing the line here, I just tend to have a much bigger mouth than the other CHs.
That is true. I wouldn’t call the 292 very strong, but I would call the Jaguar IS a downgrade compared to it.
We’ll agree to disagree on that bit. I think a 152mm gun and good armour (at least vs L23A1 at 10.0) makes it a very good TD.
But anyway. Yeah, gunna wait for the dev-post before deciding what I think of the Jag. But I can definetly see it not really serving any purpose as CAS in GRB due to BR (except for those at top tier, who havent grinded the tree and gotten the better TT aircraft) , ARB doesnt really have a place for CAS. So this is gunna be another ASB aircraft. Which is just gunna be a bit of a shame.

True, but also (hot take time), the F-100F is good. I really enjoyed spading it, did very well in it, and I did not flal victim to Su-25s and A-10s much. I did consistently butcher 2-4 A-10s per game though.
Essentially. I might use it now and again in ASB if it has a BR of 10.7 ish. As it will be fun mud mover with decent teeth. But if its 11.0, then at the moment, the Tornado Gr1 will likely be better becaue of the BR brackets and the Jags at 10/10.3 will be better because they face lower stuff. Though finally having all-aspect on a jag is gunna be fun
I doubt it’ll be 11.0. Because it’s an all-aspect jag with an extra guided bomb, I’d guess it’d be 10.7.
Magic 2s though. Just all-aspect, like 9Ls. Yeah I could see 10.7. Its just that IRCCM bit on what is technically a supersonic airframe. Migth squeeze out 10.7 in SB due to no radar, but im guessing 11.0 for RB

They could have given it missiles, instead they removed them in order to let it be CAS but it’s garbage at CAS and garbage at both… think it’s just a worse F-100A at that point.
