yea honestly heavy bombers ought to be lower. That thing is just fighter food its kinda unfair, its also the best equaliser in the game cleaning out an infested point
if they modeled the defensive systems better itd be nicer. the whole gunner FCS for the B-29, tail turret radar on the B-66, in the far far future even CCA alongside B-21’s

Gaijin doesn’t know what they’re doing with game balance, look at the Chat25t being still 8.0 or the VBC (PT2) Italy being moved up to 9.7 and the VBC(I) France staying at 9.3 despite being the better one out of the 2.

Scimitar was added at 7.7 and after quite a few of my bug reports is still awful.

The Scimitar and Badger are very depressing vehicles atm not to mention they were added incorrectly. But don’t worry, they’ll buff Kh-38MT despite it only being a Mockup and never existed
not gonna lie. i think the badger is quite good. could do with being 8.7 but overall quite solid to play

Any vehicle can be good, just depends on the player. People hate the 30mm Bushmaster whilst I quite like it. Idk if you player R6 before, but way back when they had some think called Operation Health, where they worked on fixing the many bugs, issues and balancing that plagued the game, WT needs that rn lol.

Maybe in a down-tier. At 7.7 and above the Somua turret gets popped by autocannon spam and artillery spam. She’s no longer what she once was, but still fun.
The actual issue is you coming in here to advocate for the Jagdtiger to go to 7.0 without actually playing the Jagdtiger. Now, I don’t use it either, but you won’t see me calling for balance changes on it.
Even when i need to reach into the depths of my 9.0 lineup i will not use that thing.

Irrespective of whether you think that singular characteristic should or shouldn’t come back, the actual issue is whether there is a standard or not.
It is against Gaijin’s interest to tie its hands by adopting one narrowly defined rule. But the flexibility of deciding case-by-case comes at a price - when a vehicle can lose or get its historical limitations based on balance, discussion about it will be endless and somewhat arbitrary too.

That’s my point, they’re not. Not the Tiger II armour. Not the TOG II not being limited to its more grounded configuration. Not tank tracks and suspensions. Not the impact of motion or even jumps on the loader’s ability to do his job. Not the presence or absence of a turret basket…

The Foch has 16.8 hp/ton, a top speed of 52km/h and almost double the reverse speed of the Jagdtiger. Please remember the Jagdtiger has 8 hp/ton. Less than half!
The Ho Ri production has slightly worse reverse speed, but is a lot more agile at 16.9 hp/ton.
All three vehicles have atrocious targeting speed, but here too the Jagdtiger is the worst of the three.
You’re focusing on the shell, but landing the shell on a target is only the final step of a chain of events that need to happen - get into position in time, line up the shot on the target, fire first - and the Jagdtiger is bad at all three of these steps unless it’s already camping. Which it can’t do for long, not just because CAS is a thing, but also because you don’t influence the match by just camping. On most maps at least.
You are simply describing a compression problem.
Then again, “hardly mobile bunker with slow reload cannot be penned frontally by many vehicles in a full downtier” is a common occurrence in this game. These poor sods have to have at least one thing going for them. Otherwise, why play them?
Yeah I agree. Fighting other heavies in a Tiger II is not scary, they are peer competitors give or take. Whenever you meet something with great mobility and pen is when your weaknesses become glaring.
It is also not possible to snipe on most maps. The Jagdtiger in CQC is hardly a meta spawn choice either.
Or, to stick with the Italy example, use a Fiat 6614… The tools sre are there to deal with it.
