st-a3 has no armor, type 99 is m109 but more armored, m163 is meh T-95 is. turtle slow and cupola is a fine weakspot

ST-a3 has a 6s reload with a US90. So 4 shots for every is3 shot
Type 99 has 50% more HE mass, higher velocity, double the reload, double the turret rotation. Literally no comparison.
M163 was meh at 8.0. Against props its great and you really only see ME262 and SU-9s for jets at 7.3 Both have little standoff capability.
I thought weak points were too hard? T95 weak point is much harder to hit, far less reliable, requires APHE, and has over 200mm armor base.
M46 has the same turret armor as the T44-100 and actual gun depression. Not a great tank, but neither is the T44-100.

Thier 7.7 is also a bunch of mediocre dogpoo that after playing the IS-4M and IS-6, I was so miserable that my dreams filed a restraining order. Only Ru thing that is bearable in that br for me is T-10A, great zoom level, 15 seconds reload and having stab although its only single plane, I was able to make it work because I can see the target better and fire very quickly thanks to the stab. Good thing is everybody else also having cow dung at 7.7, so I’ve play 8.3 instead where they don’t suck that much anymore.

at 7.3 compare to 6.3 and no it doesnt have double turret rotation, more like 60% more or so
zsu-37 at another br higher is better and can do anti tank, zsu-23 at the same br is same/better
is-3 hatch volumetric is trickier than t95 cupola, but is-3 is faster, more versatile, although ofc the reload is bad because it use is-2 gun but also the t-95 can also get overpressure by he

Can consider getting the T-80UM2, with headphone you can hear the direction of missiles/AGM coming in and turn your turret to intercept them, its one of the best T-80 variants ever, highly recommended for my homies.

I did the event so I didn’t spend a dime. I actually abandoned it and completely forgot about it for two years until recently I have been playing a little bit of 10.7 and getting spike’d a lot so I decided to crew it, it didn’t disappoint me. I have had first spawn helicopters dumping their entire loadout on me and only be able to destroy my barrel, tracks, one crew member and top mounted mg lol also sending helicopters with ATGM back to hangar by wasting all their missiles lol
Might have to play it more passively since it doesn’t have thermals. And another good news about the hardkill APS is we can now rearm the spent ammo at objective point, IIRC its a recent update.

Is-3 is fine as it is, most 7.3 and below are fine as they are. Maybe decompression would help but moving any vehicle in that range would only make things worse right now
Ask the same question when an M4, Jumbo, IS1, T-34-85, T44 faces a Tiger 2, Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, Ferdnand. And that is that a Panther or Tiger 1 has more chance of destroying the IS3 head-on than these Americans and Russians have of destroying these German tanks.

They have stabilizers which is a huge advantage but yes this is a full uptier and the game is compressed massively.
Everything I said about the previous tank except this one is a heavy so even less expected to perform in uptiers.

T-44 has a weak aphe shell for the BR but has decently high mobility, good armor, and overall is a jack of all trades that just has lower pen. It doesn’t really struggle.

not really unless you hit the tiny weakspot. chances are you get ufp’d by the IS-3 as soon as it sees you after bouncing your first shot
roof or driver port. Roof is 20mm at 80 degrees, so any falling shot has a good chance of penning. if close, shoot the driver port.
@Normandy_Corsair The arguments against have literally been ‘weak point too hard to hit’ for tanks a full downteir below a heavy tank. I still don’t understand what you ppl expect armor to do. You have half this forum claiming heavy tanks suffer then you have ppl like you claiming heavy tanks need to be easily pennable by anything in a full downteir. The IS3 is good in a full dowteir, far below average in its own br, and useless in an upteir. Nearly every other 7.3 is better than it in a competition vs other 7.3s.

Ok, what at 7.3 doesn’t have heatfs or apds? Arty that eat it alive, Ho-Ri, and T32. Both the later are OP at the BR.
Your argument has been consistently that weak points are too hard to hit, but nearly nothing at 7.3 NEEDS weak points on the is3. So easier pennable weak points is what you would require for it to go to 7.0… so i’m not misrepresenting your argument.
