I think you struggle to grasp basic words. Able to pen weak points makes it… not invincible.
I understand how armor works perfectly. Effective in downteirs, making enemies aim at weak points, able to be penned by most vehicles of your own br across large sections, ineffective in any upteir. When do you think armor should be effective? From your comments, never.
M44 can pen the IS3 across the entire mantlet and roof. EVERY ARTY CAN. it has the durability of a light tank to arty.
Wait… i thought that shooting a weak point was too hard? Isn’t that your exact argument with the is3? Its only 140mm dead center, over 220mm near the edges, which is above the pen of most 5.7s. Smaller weak point than the is3.

Most tanks don’t have roofs that are exposed to the front. With a 20mm armor plate rather than the 35-60mm of most tanks. The mantlet on the T26E5 often doesn’t splash HE into the drivers hatch due to the turret forward placement. Same with the T32 and most american heavies.

Ru at that br literally has nothing there except a pile of cow dung lol even as a Ru main myself I don’t even want to play them, they are so miserable that I called the suicide hotline and they put me on hold indefinitely. There are kings in that br branket, which IMO is the T29 followed by Tiger 2. IS-3 has that 4x zoom and -3 gun depression just doesn’t cut it for my playstyle, and asking me to brawl head-on with a 23 seconds reload timer? hell no. I’ll play it maybe just to collect points from getting hit via barrel-track torture lol

Quit being childish. 7.3 russia doesn’t hold a candle to 7.3 Japan or US. Ho-Ri and T32 are both FAR better vehicles than the IS3. Japan gets the ST-A3 and Type 99 where US gets the M163 and T95. Russia gets… T44-100? Meh, not much different than the M46.
st-a3 has no armor, type 99 is m109 but more armored, m163 is meh T-95 is. turtle slow and cupola is a fine weakspot
M46 can get penned frontally by anything at that BR, not weakspot, but the whole ufp
Thier 7.7 is also a bunch of mediocre dogpoo that after playing the IS-4M and IS-6, I was so miserable that my dreams filed a restraining order. Only Ru thing that is bearable in that br for me is T-10A, great zoom level, 15 seconds reload and having stab although its only single plane, I was able to make it work because I can see the target better and fire very quickly thanks to the stab. Good thing is everybody else also having cow dung at 7.7, so I’ve play 8.3 instead where they don’t suck that much anymore.
at 7.3 compare to 6.3 and no it doesnt have double turret rotation, more like 60% more or so
zsu-37 at another br higher is better and can do anti tank, zsu-23 at the same br is same/better
is-3 hatch volumetric is trickier than t95 cupola, but is-3 is faster, more versatile, although ofc the reload is bad because it use is-2 gun but also the t-95 can also get overpressure by he
Can consider getting the T-80UM2, with headphone you can hear the direction of missiles/AGM coming in and turn your turret to intercept them, its one of the best T-80 variants ever, highly recommended for my homies.
I did the event so I didn’t spend a dime. I actually abandoned it and completely forgot about it for two years until recently I have been playing a little bit of 10.7 and getting spike’d a lot so I decided to crew it, it didn’t disappoint me. I have had first spawn helicopters dumping their entire loadout on me and only be able to destroy my barrel, tracks, one crew member and top mounted mg lol also sending helicopters with ATGM back to hangar by wasting all their missiles lol
Might have to play it more passively since it doesn’t have thermals. And another good news about the hardkill APS is we can now rearm the spent ammo at objective point, IIRC its a recent update.
Is-3 is fine as it is, most 7.3 and below are fine as they are. Maybe decompression would help but moving any vehicle in that range would only make things worse right now
