Was there ever a version of this vehicle with the IS-10 smoke dispensers?
This is gonna be an israeli HSTV-L if it’ll get the reload it has irl
i’m pretty sure that’s the late prototype
This one has a lot more than just ERA. The crosswind sensor in the back indicates a new FCS, and those that can fit such a small platform at the time generally could also mount thermals. There are also smoke launchers and it might also have laser warning sensors (although it is hard to tell due to the low resolution).
This version would sit much higher in BR, it could be added in the future.
btw i have some sources on this, but how can someone know if an HVMS turret has the autoloader or not if looking from the outside?
because there are versions with and versions without
asking for a friend…
Yeah I was wondering why such small caliber has almost same reload as a 120mm one. And even with an autoloader.
Kinda excited for this vehicle (I hate with my soul the m113 buT the 60mm dart looks good). Tho expect the reload fix to come with a high uptier.
This has spall liners and the m50 hvms has stab?
How strong is the apfsds?
Wonder if it will be better then the namer
Also mark my words it wont stay 7.7 for long so enjoy it while u can
~250mm flat pen and point blank range. It doesn’t do a lot of post pen damage though, so the buffed reload rate will help with that.
All those turrets, whether it’s the early version (of the game) or the late one, used an autoloader. The difference is the total capacity of the magazine, one being 2x3 and the other 4x7. That’s why Gaijin needs to fix that.
No, but it had a new Israeli FCS called MSZ-2 that had a laser rangefinder and night vision, we have a theory that perhaps the IMI turret also had this system or a similar one with LRF since it is mentioned in Janes
oh you mean the chaffee/bulldog thingy with the HVMS already in game… yeah.
although i ask because i remember reading something along the lines of the lack of autoloader in some versions. Perhaps its the italian production variant (HVGS)?

although this excerpt from janes speaks this about the TAAS variant
I didn’t understand this
This is the official IMI brochure detailing the 2 reloading systems, both automatic, the Italian turret had manual reloading but that was an independent development.
There is also this source from James that explains the 2 automatic recharging systems.
you said
so i thought warthunder already had this in game

mb if it isnt
No, Warthunder only has the Italian version of the cannon and its Italian turret, but that one has manual reloading. They’ve just added the turret and cannon developed by IMI of Israel. The turret has the automatic reloading system. Chilean tanks use their own tank turrets, so reloading them manually takes 5 seconds. The only Chilean vehicle with that israeli turret with the automatic reloading system is the Piranha 6x6, but it uses a late version, so aesthetically it’s somewhat different.
The Chilean M-50, M-51 and M41 tanks had a new FCS called MSZ-2 with laser rangefinder and night vision, but that is something else.

Other foreign vehicles with the IMI automatic reloading turret are the Marder and the BMP. Both use the late turret, as does the Chilean Piranha.
would it be able to earn the HE-VT round?
Based on one of the Jane’s excerpts above, it should be capable of targeting helis. This should mean target tracking and HE-VT if I understand it correctly.
So far, we need more sourcing for reports on the following:
LRF + Night vision
Air Target Tracking
HE-VT
thanks, i hope the one we’ll be getting in-game actually gets what it deserves to be
Honestly it’d be nice if it stayed the way it is now. A 5. Second reload is fast enough to deal with enemy heavy and it’d give Israel an unique 7.7 sense Israel has a very unique 8.7. I think even tho it’s not realistic and could be better. It’d be a nice fit for Israel “low” tier
Whether this is 7.7 or 9.0, it’ll be in my 9.3 lineup regardless cause there are no light tanks above AMX-13 right now and 9.3 doesn’t have a light tank otherwise.
It’ll just impact my 8.0 lineup and potentially temporary 8.7 lineup.
