The horrid state of 10.7 ground RB

They readded the CV90 prem as a TT btw

BMPT should be 11.7 or atleast 11.0

Now we wait for Gaijin to change its br.

Avoiding the Terminators BR range is an option as well. Admittedly that is at the top end of the BR’s I like to play so I am not missing much.

However, the reality is Gaijin simply does business this way. They build OP vehicles, sell them to the wallet warrior and let them blow out the BR for a while. Eventually the fad wears off and they roll in some nerfs/br adjustments and then get ready for the next wallet warrior vehicle release and BR blowout extravaganza.

You can choose to participate in that or avoid it entirely. You will never change it though, it’s a core component of how Gaijin does business.

Damn matchmaking really is messed up at 10.7 lol. I wanted to play some but didn’t feel like waiting 5 minutes in queue for a game.

it’s not only terminators there are no teams most of the games are new players with premiums which ruin the gameplay for other players but that’s how gajin makes money because it’s free 2 play game !
i wish if they add skilled matching or level matching making at least i play with people who have more time in the game which have better experience it’s win win new players don’t have to face max level players and suffer and old players can have good game that last long !

The m10 booker does not compare to the BMPT, speak to someone that is grinding it out, sure you have a bit of resistance to 30mm APDS but they will get through. And one missile dead, you will never disable the BMPT in a signal Hit. That’s why to kill it you need like 2 vs BMPT to win or you will just lose.

But yes America does get some good tanks, but all the others are just sad, just looking at stats from different countries makes me regret playing America to begin with.

But this is the worst it has even been, they are getting to greedy.

Bro, welcome to the club
https://forum.warthunder.com/t/bmpt-72-should-not-be-10-3/

Yes - that’s the point - and anything that doesn’t have those ammunitions struggles with it - there is no “middle ground” for it - it is either OP or an easy kill.

Not this time - this time it is you not thinking it through.

No, EBR is the worst. Going from 4.3 to 7.0, no BR decompression.
Nothing was as OP as that thing. 2.7 BRs.

Now, it’s impossible for BMPT to be as OP as the EBR 1954 because 12.7 is the top BR and it came in at 10.3.

And while some are arguing for 12.7, the vast majority of suggestions are 11.0 - 12.0.

The M10 is great for dealing with the BMPT horde once you have M900 (and no that doesn’t mean that I think the BMPT is fine at 10.7).

Yes, yes, the M900 round will help you a lot when five Terminators are attacking you at once with panic mode on, firing their 30mm non-stop, and most shots to the side of the BMPT end with the round suddenly going into a drift and not even doing anything inside. The BMPT model is broken; even in hit analysis, the rounds that should destroy the vehicle don’t. The BMPT is at 10.7, while the HSTVL is sitting at the top - I laughed, but of course, the Russian tech tree needs to be supplemented, with a premium version of this vehicle added. If Russia is supposed to look bad compared to other tech trees, it’s bullshit and a tragedy that Gaijin allows themselves to do this. Their money-grubbing empire is fueled by the Chinese market, and new players buying their way to the top tier knows no bounds. I wonder when the update will be called “Pay Harder: Expanded Arsenal.”

I don’t disagree with you at all. Gaijin is setting new thresholds in how greed can drive game design.

But the reality is this…it isn’t new, they are just getting much better at it. OP Premiums that blow out BR’s have become a very effective way of tapping the wallet warriors basically at the expense and detriment of the non-wallet warriors. The prior gets a juiced up game experience paid for by the much worse experience of the latter.

There is little you can do about it other than…

  1. Stop playing entirely (valid option when the game gets bad, for sure)

  2. Stop playing the targeted BR entirely.

The second option is the most effective imo because it is entirely in your control and gives you power back against the wallet warriors and Gaijin. More importantly it hits Gaijin right at the heart of their OP Premium plans because it pulls players out of the BR range giving less cannon fodder for the wallet warriors and thus decreasing the OP “reward” that is part of their purchase, extending wait times for games, and just decreasing the overall value of the purchase in the first place.

That said, it likely won’t change much on how Gaijin does things because it is the wallet warriors that are the real root of the problem. And as long as Gaijin keeps building them OP vehicles, those fish will keep taking the hook regardless of how bad the BR gets blown out.

If they never added the BMPT premium, you would still be crying because there is a tech-tree one.

Not artificially preventing it from being ammo racked would be a good step in the right direction.

Which begs the obvious question…“Why doesn’t Gaijin just release the tech tree ones?”

Right, I know, you wallet warrior types have a tough time with basic marketing and how you feed into it.

Continue on.

You seem to have an issue with those supporting the game. Are you crying about that or the BMPT? Either way, I have only used the tech-tree BMPT. Maybe you shouldn’t continue on because you’ve got some issues you need to work out.

i have an issue with a format that is basically a pay to win. If the premium wasn’t there then this is simply a discussion around designing an OP vehicle into the tech tree. There’s no PTW there.

The root of it is the Premium OP of course, without it, there’s no pay-to-win.

Edit: I should add that the current format of Premium OP builds has the added effect of blowing out entire high BR ranges of the game, which as a player is not terribly desirable.er, unless you’re buying the premium

Everything from 9.7 upwards being pulled into the 10.7 black hole and unplayable, in matches with half the players bc there is too many people playing/grinding ONE vehicle is just hilarious game design that just exacerbates how bad the BR system has become over the years and how much we need more and smaller br brackets.

If ONE popular vehicle can break multiple br brackets that have nothing to do with each other gameplay-wise (9.7 to 11.7), there is a big design flaw that has been overlooked for years and its now, again, cracking like the walls of a ruined house.

I don’t think its a design flaw per se. Rather it’s a design RULE that was broken, and it was broken by Gaijin in order to drive more profits at the cost of gameplay.

What I mean by that is Premiums used to be copies of existing vehicles, added with new art, paint, etc. The intent was something the player could use to earn more money, boost crews, etc. It’s a very good format that worked, especially at the low/mid tiers, because it used balanced machines in BR’s with which they fit, and offered the player a nice bonus that didn’t directly distort the match.

Then in the not so distant past Gaijin started to bend that rule by adding in equipment that was entirely unique. With the lack of a balanced tech tree copy to build off, this had the risk of something unbalanced working into the BR.

Ultimately Gaijin realized the opportunity in front of them as sales of many of these unique vehicles rose. So instead of just bending the rule, they started breaking it outright by adding in tanks that were entirely unique AND very OP for their respective BR’s. 114, Turm III, T58 are good recent examples of this “breaking of the rule” at work.

The last iteration with the Eliminator was the pinnacle of that process, and they made it much much worse by trying to tie themselves back to the old model of Premium coming from a Tech Tree…but since they still were bound to that primary need to build and extremely OP Premium for sale, they created the perfect storm by injecting an entirely OP tech tree version as well.

It’s pretty obvious imo what went wrong with the Eliminator. It’s just basic greed (OP Premium) being led by some pretty monumental stupidity with the intro of the OP tech tree variant.

I guess if there’s a positive to it all it’s that it’s a really easy fix to make sure it doesn’t happen again. After all, we have a ton of examples of how premiums done well can work to not drive entire BR ranges into the abyss. But, yeah, unlikely we get back to that with Gaijin’s greed driving this particular bus.
