At zero initial speed, at an altitude of 8 kilometers, and with 30% internal fuel, the J-15T has arguably the worst high-altitude performance, with no essential difference from the J-11B.What has Gaijin done to the high-speed thrust of the WS-10B?This engine only looks better than the AL-41F on the surface. In reality, Gaijin has severely nerfed its high-speed thrust, making the J-15T — currently, in update 14.7 — the weakest aircraft overall, and it’s weak in every aspect.
Me when my jet powered aircraft (dependent on airflow & air density) struggles with low air density and airflow.
It’s cause they copy-pasted the same thrust curve for WS-10A to WS-10B, only add more slightly more thrust on top of it.
Gaijin does not know how engines work irl, WS-10B is very different in terms of structure and internal components compared to WS-10A.
and its severely overperforming at high altitude lol
almost all flankers are
gaijin needs to nerf all flankers more at high altitude not buff them
Provide sources
And this would be a realistic buff in terms of thrust? Because the current WS-10B is incorrect. So it’s not related to other Flankers in this area in terms of acceleration, since no other Flanker uses this engine rn.
Okay?
Regarding the J-15T, we are talking about acceleration in a straight line here, not sustained turn rate.
acceleration is also overperforming for canarded flankers
su-30sm2 somehow out performs su-35 while having canards in acceleration btw
I’m having dinner right now. I’ll post the image data calculated by Stashark later as proof.
You sure that just isn’t AL-41 overpeforming ingame compared to irl?
Because it is ridiculous compared to all other engines ingame.
nah.
infact flankers actually have slightly more channel loss than they should but it doesn’t really matter, they still overperform in acceleration anyways
besides they both use al41f1s (irl su-30sm2 doesn’t use al41f1s but in game they do so its whatever)
So I’m not sure why you are in this thread in particular? Since this is probably a issue best raised in the general Flanker forum. The J-15T is different because it is supposed to have a new engine that previously wasn’t in the game.
because j-15t is still a flanker that should get its acceleration nerfed like all other flankers
And why is that?
It’s actually underperforming in terms of thrust rn.
So in any case, it should actually be buffed.
wym why is that?
if the base flanker is overperforming in acceleration, it means all subsequent flankers are also overperforming.
The thrust that the WS-10B is supposed to have would cancel that out, not whatever shit it currently has where the thrust curve is copy-and-paste from the WS-10A.
so the ws-10b has the thrust curve of the ws-10a?
i mean that makes sense, you’d assume they would just do the same curve then just add 1000 kgf thrust or whatever on top of it
This is the data calculated by Stashark. It can be seen that the energy characteristics of the J-15T are extremely poor.
Fighter list:J-15T,J-11B,J-10C,Su-30SM2,EF2000(AESA),Rafale F3,F-15E
At the end is a separate comparison between the J-15T and the Su-30SM2. It can be seen that the J-15T has far weaker thrust at high speeds than the Su-30SM2.
