The F6C has a really bad gameplay experience - its power level in the game doesn’t match its weight at all
F-6C is the worst MiG-19 flightmodel in the game, just so you know.
Dawg, its objectively better than the other mig 19 variants.
same as MiG-19PT
no it isn’t, the F-6C’s flightmodel is significantly worse than the other MiG-19s.
you need to know the difference between “flightmodel” and “plane”.
for a 9.7 MiG-19, it needs a bit more than two AIM-9Js to warrant that battlerating. wouldn’t hurt to give it a MiG-19S flightmodel
which doesn’t actually change the fact that the F-6C has the worst MiG-19 flightmodel
Now would you be so kind as to point me where exactly is F-6C worse than other MiG-19s with exception of MiG-19S which has ever so slighty better FM with tradeoff being NO IR missiles whatsoever?
I might have overlooked something but both time to speed and turn performance charts are exactly the same between the variatns with exception that J-6C has 20G sidewinders.
oh, looks like i mentally defaulted the MiG-19S’ FM as the default, my bad.
even then it isnt THAT much better of a FM, certainly its not to the point where you could call it straight upgrade over standard mig19 due to aforementioned lack of IR missiles.
Point is, OP is somewhat suggesting F-6C is sitting at way too high BR - Ill admit I havent tried it myself (i usually dont play event planes for a while after the even concludes) but all my friends that do ARB were calling it unrealistic for it to stay at 9.3 when it first leaked and were predicting BR of 10.0.
9.7 is fine. it’s not as great as the T-2, but it’d be oppressive at 9.3 and underpowered at 10.0
It’s better than the T-2. Similarly powerful missiles on a better flight model.
F-6C is if you removed the flares of F-5A/C and improved its flight model.
T-2 is faster everywhere, search radar can be useful in situations you’d not expect, and being able to slave your sidewinders can be more useful than you think.
the T-2 also has a bit more thrust at every speed at most altitudes, at sealevel the F-6C’s thrust only being higher under 120km/h and the statcard only shows static thrust which is indeed higher than the T-2’s.
The only reason the MiG-19 accelerates faster is because it’s a tonne lighter than the T-2
also, there’s the vulcan and the T-2 is often more snappy than the MiG-19.
not more maneuverable and doesn’t have more energy retention, sure, but i enjoy the T-2’s flightmodel over the MiG-19 for all aforementioned points
also apparently the T-2 can do a nose-forward kvochur bell, which i just found out on accident in testflight
Mig 19 is great but also a massive pain to play
God level energy but takes so long to kill anyone. 3rd party special - you get killed or the kill you work for is stolen.
It stays dusty as sadly didnt play enough to sell it
even just flying the F-6C and T-2 in testflight, the F-6C is noticably more sluggish in terms of changing directions at all speeds versus the T-2.
T-2 goes where you tell it to go, F-6C tells you to wait two business days on a friday even when adding rudder.
the F-6C may be more maneuverable in the traditional sense, but the T-2 is significantly snappier
which brings me to another point: nose authority. the T-2 has alot more of it.
F-104S is the fastest aircraft at 11.3, but people aren’t praising that except for bombing bases faster than F-4s.
And T-2s being able to slave missiles during head-ons means nothing when they’re using rear-aspect missiles.
Still doesn’t change the fact that F-6C is the best of the 9.7s… yeah, the best.
At the dogfight BRs the dogfighters are going to be the best.
~1.5 tons less.
F-6C will still pull up to 13G, it will still sustain the best at 9.7 afterburning jets.
And T-2 can do a chase against skittish opponent.
T-2s being able to slave missiles during head-ons
when’d i say head-on? you’re not getting a lock anyways unless your target is a B-52, Tu-95, or Yak-38
At the dogfight BRs the dogfighters are going to be the best
i don’t know, man. i’ve been boom-and-zooming fine in nearly every single match i’ve ever played in the T-2/F-1, F-4C, Mirage 3C, and Nesher.
