Not that cheap… Where is this world that people just have hundreds of pounds lying about? Do you have to pay a mortgage? Do you pay for the weekly shop? Do you save for holidays and put towards a pension?
That’s my point?
Gromvoiny or someone said its cause devs dont want to add scroll into the tree,so they limit it to this. They want all horizontal part of tree be visible at once.
I need ULQ to play and my laptops from '15
:)
Yep, in the same way they said supersonic jets would never come to the game many years ago…
2013 and beyond cause i have acc made at Feb 2013,and i have the CBT Tu-2
You don’t have to scroll if you don’t waste 60% of the space on screen and use massive icons.
I think it’s a texture problem more than a graphics problem, certain textures have not been updated since the game was released and are frankly not beautiful but the graphics themselves are not are really not bad, in fact the effects hide the misery a little but I really think that if the texture of the roads and the earth were revised in the game it would be much more beautiful
Skill issue tbh…
Here you are right, I have heard many times from people that wt has beautiful vehicle models, but the maps are yhmmmm, but one day gaijn will have to do “wt 2.0”, one day the spaghetti code will kill them, for this it would be useful to improve the synchronization of objects, better physics, servers, add Rt, fsr etc, and it would take a lot of work to make it work well.
Yeah… but that was about making more money, probably more difficult to monetize the tech tree in the same way.
It’s not a graphics problem but a server and internet connexion problem.
The code is not that bad, the game runs well and on any PC, the bugs exist but are minor. Moreover, they already “remade” the game when they switched to the Dagor game engine.
As cool and nice as it would be; it has to be console compatible. Render distance and customization needs to be a non-editable subject, as for ULQ players to not *have an upper hand on people who want to play and be able to enjoy the scenery as well.
I run a GTX 1660 Super in my rig, and it handles Movie graphics, then some, at a 96FPS average, so I’d be all in. Issue is other performance issues; only the newest and most top of the line GPU’s in the newest top of the line consoles would barely be able to handle reasonably better graphics.
You did not, so do not lie.

And the entire reason we have ULQ is because people do need it.
Having more graphics modes for even higher quality would be fine, though- as long as it doesnt impact low-end PCs.
I will copy what I said few months ago on ULQ:
War Thunder has always been accessible on even low-performance computers. Over the years, the performance bar has risen (due to ever-improving audio and video visuals), but we always tried to make the game accessible to as wide spectrum of players as possible. Not everyone can afford to buy a state-of-the-art graphics card, a new laptop or a next-gen console. The world is not a paradise, where everyone can spend loads of money on computer upgrades without blinking an eye. As long as this is possible, we always try to ensure that War Thunder works even on weak hardware.
And it’s not true that today there are no more computers that won’t run WT on medium or minimum settings. Every now and again I read reviews in which a player complain that, unfortunately, the game doesn’t work on their graphics (and it turns out that they are using a GT 9500 or some other hardware from a dozen years ago) and I feel sorry for them. I remember the times when I struggled hard on a Radeon 9250 to turn on any “modern” game (because I couldn’t afford better graphics).
Making fun of such gamers, or suggesting that they should be cut out of the game even though it is not necessary is wrong and has no place on our forum.
ULQ got a lot of disadvantages, it’s not a mode that gives you advantage in battle. I would never want to play on that mode, but some players simply have no other choice. Respect that and allow them to play their favorite game.
This is probably the best explanation for it, and I am really glad that Gaijin (And the staff here), understand why we need it.
