We just got a big naval jet update so I would give it more time. Maybe update after next
Enough USA planes. I am soo sick of USA getting OP planes or mass quantities of them. It’s literally been ruining the last few updates for those of us who try to have fun in sim.

Probably in the next 2 updates. It’s logical step if they want to add F/A-18E and it’s superior to F/A-18C… I believe next update though possibly will be a new F-16V for US and Sufa for Israel.
That’s my own prediction though…
Also if they want it to have a meaning, they should bring dual plane for missiles and ECM/ECCM , Jamming /flooding radars etc. , else just give AIM-9M and AIM-7P to F-14B and call it a day, it won’t have any meaning. The part that sets it apart from 14B is mainly the radar and the electronics, making it way more capable across the line. If this can’t show up in the game , there is no meaning other than the name… If they just bring it for the APG-71 to lock targets better , then it will be a failure anyway.

That’s the thing, if we are talking with same era equipment , let’s say 90s -Gulf wars (because the AMRAAMs we have now are that level) , F-15E will just eat the missile while not be able to do crap from the get go (realistically) , it was happening in excersises… as soon as F-15s got airborn they were already locked /flooded (blind radar let’s say) and shot down whithout being able to do anything. That wasn’t the case with AWG-9 Tomcats, at the same era. Also, AIM-54C ECCM/Sealed was more powerful missile than AIM-120A/B … It was un-nochable , could sea-skim better (didn’t give a crap about your altitude) and the only practical defence was terain masking , if you ever understood from where its coming with all the flooding in the systems the radar could create.
Now the thing with the current 14.0s is that they are expandable , they can add many things (F-15E/AIM-120D with improved radar etc. of our times, yes that’s way better combo than the Tomcat 20 years before …and AESA radars, can’t get flooded as well). But same era things… everything will have problem if they actually make the game to work realistically for radars/weapons etc (i understand it’s not easy and it’s work in progress, but players have to understand that the game doesn’t take many things into account…yet).

They removed the ability to carry 4 7M’s when equipping 54A’s. Instead you get 3 7E2’s. Should be back to 12.7 in that case.

I noticed that the thrust in game is less then what it has irl for both A and B model of the f14
Witch weird bc it can carry 6 7m’s or 6 7f’s

And carry the Sparrows in the belly ?
I don’t think it is…but when I posted it people freaked out saying I posted classified information even when I texted it’s on the internet where everyone has access to it but 🤷♂️

you are not wrong there are plenty of other planes that could be added its just that f14d should have come before hornet. and they could even release updates that are not focused on top BRs or even fixing/polishing a lot of mechanics and features and i would be happy.

Just because a document is circulating on the Internet does not mean it is not classified.
Afaik, some NAVAIR 01-F14AAA-1(mostly post 1980s) still falls under Distribution Statement C.

These have likely been previously used in a multitude of bug reports (not by myself), and personally sourced from said War Thunder reports (now ~2 years old) as partial excerpts sans cover page and the was likely not provided for the original upload, as they were not retained by the upload to way-back.
I couldn’t with any certainty specify which exact document it came from as the relevant reports aren’t mine but reverse imaging look up indicates that DCS forums are likely (due to similar water damage in the scans) so who is to say how exactly it was obtained, though they likely have different rules.

N.B: it is also apparent that additional scans have something Blanked out at the bottom of the page.
Anyway the other source that the excerpts are from is specified to be Statement “A”, and the contents are materially similar(or functionality inferred), so as to what exactly the outcome would be (likely because Iran did not optionally include any Aux. Sensors with their purchases), so it’s not sensitive in the same way as other elements in the F-14 FMs, also other Elapsed F-14 FM’s do exist, like the Provisional 1972 variant.

Well considering the US tech tree has been pretty consistently getting the most vehicles these few last updates, I’d much rather see gameplay fixes first and foremost. With a minimum amount of vehicles for next update.

I think they should keep adding vehicles for all nations for planes and tanks (I don’t play naval personally they should receive their own updates and events) and they do try to fix the gameplay in between major updates one thing I would personally like to see is console getting access to the user made skins and the gajin store to be able to access collection vehicles or vehicles that where removed.
Doesnt really happen in the case of the tomcat. Its pretty meh at 12.7 and complete trash at 13.0.

Ive reasearched it a month+ by now. I refuse to buy it. Why would i ever play it when it faces su27s and f15s?
