I’ve been trying, but the moderators are obviously pretty busy at the moment.
I wouldn’t be surprised if at this point it doesn’t get implemented with the coming update since it needs to be reviewed for some platforms before it goes live, and so thy aren’t working all the way up to release on it.
I’m sure that if we all Spam every Technical moderator on the team that something might happen, eventually.
i wonder why there is no f14D yet given its just a worse f15E
again a vehicle that will be doa not because the plane in question is bad but because the much better equivalents are already in-game in the same tech tree
Yea but the airframe and old missiles(the only F14 with aim120 was a f14a apparently) would Still hold it Back
Also it would beat the f14b has the most complicated plane in Warthunder by a decent margin given as all the extra Radar modes of the f15e (compared to the c)
Aim at 7p would be available for f-14d and it has data link so it would be like a great value fox 3 also aim 54 c could receive a buff though it would push the f14 b higher in BR and they would need to decompress top to you for it to not be DOA but I still want to play that 14
aim7p is just a ton of hype for nothing
given it does not solve the most common issues with the aim7 which are maneuverability and speed
so all you really get is a better r27r (notice the lack of ER)
Ignoring the fact, you’re almost certainly ragebaiting, let me explain it to you.
If the F-14D gets AMRAAMS, it will be better than the F-15E. 8-10x Aim-120s, 2x Aim-9s, a direct upgrade to the radar, IRST, better maneuverability and high alt energy retention, and more countermeasures. It’ll only lack a little bit of TWR and Top speed. The plane is not bad, and there is no F-14 equivalent in the game right now.
It was an F-14A but had the radar of an F-14D. So if an enemy picked it up on radar, it’d be an F-14D. For all intents and purposes, it was an F-14D.
Actually he’s not the f14D can carry at least 6- 8 araams with the lau127/a (witch im pretty sure has a dual configuration ) that would be found on 8b/1b and then the 4 where 3,4,5, and 6 armament and 9m for 8a/8b and 1a/1b
"Presently the F-14B doesn’t use its EO tracker as part of its STT automation. As such isn’t subject to the fix requested.
The fix for the aircraft mentioned in this report is only to resolve the automation rapidly changing between radar and IR/EO while in STT. It isn’t to grant full launch capabilities in those modes and doesn’t allow for it when manually switching to IR/EO modes."
Also as there is an existing report on the issue, anything further would be marked as a duplicate report, so we’re effectively stuck in a Catch 22 waiting for the Dev’s to implement an existing feature to an airframe that they have forgotten about, before it can be implemented.
