Yeah that one is decent. My only issue with it now is the radar compared to many other planes it sees frequently

that’s my point the Su27 was not better thant the F15A:
It had more better Radar missiles which was largely irrelevant due to the 100 meter multipath.
then the R73s as I said previously sucked because of the thrust vectoring causing them to over correct too much and spin out. As well as be pretty useless at longer ranges due to the drag was it? or just the energy bleed.
Su27 also had one, literally one instantanious turn over the F15A then would basically be a sitting duck, any smart F15A player just kept moving around bleeding most the enemies of energy whilst mantaining your own, bar the gripen, which only had one issue, which was being able to catch the F15A.

Flight control systems as well as better powerplant.
The JAS39A FM while a UFO when added, isn’t as good as it should be.

at least according to EFA requirements gripen is really some abysmal garbage and is heavily overperforming

Not really this is propaganda feed to you by the flanker cope gang.
The reason Russian 4th generation tactical jets did so well against western ones is the R-73 and HMS combo. Western fighters had no such capability at the time, so naturally they’d just get whacked before the fight had chance to progress.
This was seen recently Grippy vs Flanker.
Legacy hornets will beat flankers in low speed flight. There is irl video of this.
Tbf the mkm is quite fat compared to base su27
I was looking at the EFA requirements, in pure flight performance flanker easily out does the gripen. So in WVR it would easily win(++ r73 you were tlaking about)
The gripen obviously wins in BVR but that’s mostly due to the flanker having the shitty r77 with 50 km range while grippy has amraam
It’s also got TVC.
The later hornets aren’t exactly slim compared to their previous iterations either.
Point being the flanker isn’t some miracle fighter like some people try so hard to say.
It’s definitely incredible and one of my favorites nonetheless, but it can be beaten by basically any other jet of its time.

The F-16c and the Rafale have similar SEP but who will win that one. (Rafale is basically better in all aspects)
SEP is not a good representation of overall capability.
