The event timing isn't that bad

Many people talking about having jobs and that the event is difficult, at least that’s what I saw on Reddit. But I think it’s a matter of poor time handling than actual issues with the event.

I have a job too, which requires me to leave the home by 7:30AM (15 minutes for breakfast) and I return home by 7:15PM (transportation time included), and it is a stressful, mentally draining job as a software developer, so my performance will not even be the best.

Furthermore, I am not a skilled player; you can look into my statshark stats.

To demonstrate that I am not making it up, I will show you proof that I have the event vehicles from last year, even their special camos.

The key to completing the events is to schedule a good plan that fits you well.

Here is mine:

Day 1: Go home at 7:15PM, complete ground forces and 50% of air battles. Sleep at 10PM
Day 2: Wake up at 6AM, finish the remaining of air battles. Go home at 7pm, complete naval forces
The morning of day 3 is reserved for when you need some extra time or have some real life events scheduled, just a just-in-case day.

As said, you should expect all stars to be completed by day 2.

The truth is, for some people, they may take longer to complete the stars; if that is the case, there is always the star-buying and day 3. Also, you can schedule your clock to wake you up earlier, trading weekday sleep time for extra weekend sleeping time.

Note: you shouldn’t do Air RB for air stars; the risk is too high and reward too low. You should find grinding much faster if you don’t do Air RB for air stars.

Your lack of imagination is clearly not a problem for everyone.

That is if you want to complete all three stars, which I seek to do. If you only want to complete two like most people or even just one then it becomes much easier.

I have a better option, juste reduce the amount of point needed to complete the objectifs.

I think it’s mostly reasonable, but Gaijin has to balance it between whether it is achievable and how many people will buy the stars

In what world a game called F2P need to balance these kind of thing ? reducing the amount of point will just get more reachable those vehicles for everyone.

Gaijin has to balance between these extremes

People playing the game = good, and the event is designed to do this.

A. Too easy = no one will buy stars, lowering value of vehicles because everyone have them
B. Middling = Achievable for more dedicated players while players with less time can opt to buy stars or skip parts of it (like only grind for mig 25)
C. Too hard = May get more star sales but no one will play the event

Most players in the event are moderately skilled due to having tier 3+ vehicles.

Great guide. Just one question: What are people supposed to do that have a social life, familiy, other obligations than a job or quite literally anything thats not playing this game every free waking moment of the day?

You can still playing the game by reducing the amount and point for those objectifs and let people have en easier acces of the vehicles, why does just a little amount of peoples need to have acces of certains vehicles because they are at the right time or they just bought it for 100$.

They can buy the vehicle if they are interested in them. Most vehicles will be cheaper to get via marketplace than grinding the event.

For example this T-80UD is cheaper than packs on discount!!

this one ? how can i manage to buy it ?

it’s really not hard to get all the stars for air if you work 40 hours a week but getting both stars would eat all your time, you’d have to take work off to get all 3 that’s impossible.

Ok and you dont see a problem with a situation where the only way to access event vehicles as a fully functioning adult is either paying for them or forgoing all non essential duties/responsibilities during the holidays?

Also: getting up at 6am just to play war thunder before work is questionable behavior

People don’t like having their time management being criticized.

My workaholic father having over 30 hours of free time a week will not be everyone’s situation.
Me having even more free time is not everyone’s situation.

Some people are stuck with a plate full of tasks that they don’t know how to fix, and fixing them in and of itself is difficult.

Not everyone has some grace where they can play a bit of WT before they leave, and a little bit before they go to sleep.

I have an internship where I wake up at around 4am for breakfast, then leave at around 6am. The job starts me at around 8am, then I go home at around 6pm with transportation.
I leave early, because I travel with my sibling so I don’t have to brace the morning traffic and to save on transportation costs, even If I have to wait an hour or so before the office gets populated.

Unless I destroy my sleep schedule, I go to sleep at around 9ish-10ish.

You don’t get to lecture people on time management. And again, you can’t use “Lmao its an event just buy it if you cant grind it.” if you try to.
Not many people have the financial liberties to spend it on a game.

This event timing is meh for me. A least I get to grind it on my holiday break. Can’t grind for the coupon to sell it away though, but that’s okay enough for me.

Gaijin’s predatory with their events and pretty much caters always to those who can maximize their grind or those who have alot of time. I wish they lowered the point requirements to 30k or 25k, but I can’t rely on the devil for salvation can I?

Or just go back to the old style - task based stars.

Less of a hassle, less time needed to complete them. It’s faster to get 6 kills in one game, 40 kills overall (or was it 60 at some point?) and a few assists or caps than grinding score for who knows how long :)

No. Never again.
Those were far worse, and incentivized toxic behavior.

you should do ARB for air stars.

You can get like 20K score (after multipliers) per hour. Don’t bother with sim if you are not experienced. Sim regulars will eat you alive.
