Many people talking about having jobs and that the event is difficult, at least that’s what I saw on Reddit. But I think it’s a matter of poor time handling than actual issues with the event.
I have a job too, which requires me to leave the home by 7:30AM (15 minutes for breakfast) and I return home by 7:15PM (transportation time included), and it is a stressful, mentally draining job as a software developer, so my performance will not even be the best.
Furthermore, I am not a skilled player; you can look into my statshark stats.
To demonstrate that I am not making it up, I will show you proof that I have the event vehicles from last year, even their special camos.
The key to completing the events is to schedule a good plan that fits you well.
Here is mine:
Day 1: Go home at 7:15PM, complete ground forces and 50% of air battles. Sleep at 10PM
Day 2: Wake up at 6AM, finish the remaining of air battles. Go home at 7pm, complete naval forces
The morning of day 3 is reserved for when you need some extra time or have some real life events scheduled, just a just-in-case day.
As said, you should expect all stars to be completed by day 2.
The truth is, for some people, they may take longer to complete the stars; if that is the case, there is always the star-buying and day 3. Also, you can schedule your clock to wake you up earlier, trading weekday sleep time for extra weekend sleeping time.
Note: you shouldn’t do Air RB for air stars; the risk is too high and reward too low. You should find grinding much faster if you don’t do Air RB for air stars.
