The X-ray view is lying. They call all 3 radars the same (CAPTOR-E) in the hangar but they arent the same, German one has lower FoR.
Also yes, all Typhoon radars are named as UK radars (probably to keep them all close to each other in the files)
Keep the slightly worse radar but give the AMK kit to make up for it. Otherwise the German Eurofighter is once agained screwed with no good reason.

Did a German Eurofighter ever carry an AESA with more than 180°? I assume the new one in game isn’t a specific “tranche” or upgrade, same as how the Gripen isn’t a specific MS upgrade…
No, it’s not an Airbus test frame. IPA7 (98+07) is a Bundeswehr aircraft, owned by the Bundeswehr and even use to be 30+44 before it was handed over to WTD 61. WTD 61 is a test unit that works with many companies, not just Airbus.
But that is a massive difference.
That is the same as saying. “Well Britain doesnt get the GBU-48 1000lb GPS+SAL bomb, instead it only gets the Mk18 SAL-only bomb, so Only Britian should get MMW Brimstone 2s to make up for it”

Then why keep the German Eurofighter uniquely worse in this insane competitive environment? Air to ground armament isn’t really a good comparison, in fact. It’s completely irrelevant. A slightly different FM pretty much makes up for it.

Mk0 and Mk2 is documented to have +/- 100 by its manufactorer
Mk1 is a development of Mk0 by a different company
That company for some reason documented the Mk1 having +/- 90, there is some speculation that it does have +/- 100 but with certain limitations in that final 10 degrees such as reduced power.
There is also limited evidence to suggest that Germany may have a few Mk0s in service.
Germany is also planning a multi-phase upgrade program where they will eventually upgrade their Mk1s to remove some of the limitations.
Germany is just super eager to get AESA up and running as soon as possible which is why they didnt want to wait for the Mk2

Its not “slightly different” its quite a major buff to ITR, AoA and roll rate. In a 1v1 dogfight vs Italian or RAF Typhoons, the German Typhoon would pretty much always win.
It would be akin to giving Gen 5 IIR or Meteor to only one of the 3 nations. It would be nuclear option for something which, imo, is being blown quite a bit out of proportion. 99% of the time, I doubt you would really notice the difference.
Like I said, its a bit like saying that Britain should get MMW Brimstone 2s to compensate for the fact we dont get GBU-48s

Sounds cool, and it looks cool, while everyone else gets a better radar. BVR combat is what dominates top tier, you rarely ever get into a 1v1. God forbid Germany get something uniquely cool for once.

Again, the AESA is the same 99% of the time. you can still sit in a full notch and still provide DL. Its not like the Mk1 is fixed and the Mk2 is gimballed.
But if you want to talk about uniqueness. I guess we should remove:
- PIRATE
- Aim-9M
- Brimstones
- Aim-120C5s
- Paveway IVs
from the German Typhoons as those were all “uniquely” things fitted to British Typhoon.
God Forbid Britain got something uniquely cool for once.

For the love of god, and for the millionth time Hensoldt source is misleading, Airbus and Leonardo use FOR to present the values of the radar which is stated to be ±100°, Hensoldt use FOV (±90°) which shouldn’t be taken as the actual FOR of the radar.

Armament doesn’t affect FM or radar performance, Idk why you keep bringing this up.
It affects overall performance though.
German Typhoon should be the only one with AMK because “Germany suffers” but gets loadout options that it never used because “fairness”?

You are not using Brimstones for air-to-air combat. Germany should get AMK because it is a unique feature of the German Eurofighters, and makes up for the worse radar performance.
Dude AMK is a German project only tested and use by Germany other nations don’t have it, for the armament that you are presenting they have aim 9 l/1i which is a 9m but whith smoke, they have aim 120 all types they have German EF with PIRATE, they use Brimstones 2 and 3, Germany have everything you mentioned, it’s not that we are stripping the uniqueness of British EF but we get those bc Germany actually use them, i have no problems in losing the 9m and the useless paveway that most of us don’t use any.

Because Germany Gets the AMK it doesnt get IRIS-T. But Italy does and Britain gest ASRAAM because they dont get AMK.
Would you consider that fair?
