If you see that image is after they talk about the diferent owners/costumers of the EF and not about the multiple capabilities of the radar.
2: AAAAAND even if it where “in the section of the ECRS Mk0” you can read this in the same page:
And yes I´ve found this image too here: Leonardo: First Eurofighter in the air for Kuwait
Wich is the same image of the pdf of Leonardo I´ve put here before (that doesnt states the 100) but with new drawn lines, and if that page is taken as a source then the EF website and the Airbus also states that the Mk1 has 100 degrees and hensoldt says 90 degrees because thats where it is reached the optimal performance, as users said on the bug reports.
If we look at the part that says where are we now and then look at the year of this being 2020 we can conclude that it can only be talking about ECRS mk0 as that was the only one that existed at that time
And you are totally right, but they are talking about the 3 Mk´s on that article, so yes, at that point the only one available was the Mk0 but they say that “the hardware standard and capabilities have been delivered through the core developement contract” (wich is the Mk0) and “enabling even more capability enhacements to be delivered”
Correct me if I’m wrong but every radar has a cooldown for losing lock in a situations when the target gets out of your radar’s gimball or starts to notch etc. With 180* scan you can easily override the 90* for a moment to help with notching enemy missiles while not losing the lock with your own radar.
They remember the targets for a couple seconds if they’re outside the gimbal limits. So you can pull above 90° with Mk.1 without immediately loosing the target, but if you have to stay there to loose a missile it’ll be gone, unlike the Mk.2 who can just keep tracking
This right here. Remeber the “We don’t use russian sources to buff the abrams (or western stuff in general)” and then 2 days later making a copium post about how Stingers could definetely not pull 18G because the Igla can’t?
Gaijin are just picking and choosing whatever fits their world model and what gets them the most money.
Straight Up video from Indra, one of the MK1 radar manufacturers, shows the MK1, MK2, and MK0 before showcasing the FoR. You can clearly see that it is over 100 degrees.
As far as I know, Indra only worked on the MK1 ECRS, so this should be further proof that the MK1 has the same FoR as the MK0 and MK2.
There is also the Eurofighter presentation of the ECRS systems that never mentioned any FoR differences when comparing them, which should lead to Gaijin accepting the FoR as being 100.
Hensoldt also answered on their youtube. Wasn’t me asking the question and its terrible english but I mean what more information can we give that doesnt reach into classified territory? Gaijin said they wont change stuff based on assumptions but at this point they are straight ignoring the manufactures claims. What else do they want? We are reached the limit of accurate unclassified informations. Now have to make the game somewhat fair and believe in the information we have. The more modern the aircraft the more we have to assume, it is what it is. Accuracy aside we need to keep the game somewhat fair if we cant confirm 100% whats right or wrong.
No information claims that the FoR is less than the FoR of the Mk2 which would mean it has the exact same FoR as the Mk2. You could even suggest, if anything the Mk1 is more nible because of the fact that the swashplate has 2 rotational joints and not 1 like the Mk2. Speculation? Logical? Pick one or just make it fair…
Let’s not forget they pulled the marketing lies on the super cruise speed as well. They’re not above just straight up saying the manufacturers is lying (conveniently Russian manufacturers never lie, obviously)
Yes I do. And the Airforce isn’t upgrading to the Mk.2, but upgrading the Mk.1 itself. That’ll be called ECRS Mk.1 Step 2 (The T4s will be delivered with Step 1)
1st I am not your Bruda…
2nd, Its currently talked internal if those sources are enough, ones there is an outcome I will share it, be it on the DC or in the EF threads unless the Mod posts the result first :)
