Imo the biggest diffrence here is that the elc 901 can get frontally machine gunned
at 5.7 it would be to strong. While the 901 should technicaly be lower br with the current compresion it’s simply going to be op
they can both be .50 cal killed frontally, they cant be 7.62 killed frontally

take a look at 7.62 from 0m and you will see its a non issue
Frontal defense is really important, but speed is more important. But I think the speed is more important, especially the reversing speed, one is 34KM/H, the other is 7.7 KM/H, the difference is not a little bit, not only the reversing data is much worse, but also the forward speed is 20 kilometers per hour.
One reason why I vastly prefer the 901 over the bis is the lack of antenna: Even a quite flat hill makes the 901 virtually invisible, hiding the bis is more difficult. Plop some fir brachnes on it and you’re a flat shrubbery that would make the Knights who say Ni! happy.
IIRC acceleration is also better in the 901, so as you by all means don’t want to be shot at at all in any of the two, being able to hide, pop up quickly and hide again is the strongest suite for the ELC 901.
