“allegedly” it’s one of only 3 fighters at 10.7 with no flares, and it also lacks in terms of flight performance, missile performance, and now at 10.7 the speed isn’t so great either. The F-4F early is at the same BR, also with no flares, but with superior flight characteristics, better IR missiles, an internal gun, and only lacking the far below average radar missiles that the F-4C carries.
Also you can pull out whatever stats you want and say “but I did okay with it!” but the F-4EJ is severely lacking. Without agile eagle and with a terrible radar and no DF sparrows it offers nothing over the american F-4E, which is also not a top performer, or at least wasn’t under the old BRs. They’re both definitely better off now that they aren’t facing F-16s and MiG-29s every game.

EJ-kai being the same BR as the F-16A is hilarious. Now I’ve never played the EJ-kai, but I can guess that an F-4E with F-16A avionics and weapons will automatically perform worse than an F-16A with F-16A avionics and weapons… at least the Phantom can carry two additional 7F’s though lmao

F-4EJ Kai is 12.3, not 12.7. F-4J and F-4S are fine where they are, you could make a case about FG.1, FGR.2 and F-4JUnK being overtiered though. F-4E is in a fine position, F-4EJ could probably go down, we will have to see if anything changed.

Its flight performance is better than a J35D, it primarily lacks weapons compared to J35D of course.
F-4F is marginally better in flight performance over F-4C, a 0.5deg/s difference.
Also F-4EJ got downtiered along with the F-4E and Kurnass due to the BR changes.

F-14A is literally an F-4J that can dogfight. That’s it.
EJ Kai is 0.3 below F-14B despite having identical armament with a vastly superior radar, and its only flaw vs F-14B is it can’t dogfight.

It 100% is. Took the MLA for a spin to confirm. You have to change the checkbox for constant radar elevation in the air battle settings and then bind controls for radar elevation. Its possible to be level or even slightly positive angle and still get MTI, but limited due to the minimum angle of the radar.
Cute to see complaints about these planes while other trees are far more gimped at jet tier

i mean. the f4e is very maneuverable. at low fuel itll shit on most top tiers

f4e is without a doubt one of the worst 11.3
Low CM count? You sure? You get 30 large CM’s, alongside 60 regulars. That’s pretty good IMO.
“useless rear-aspect missile” 9j’s are pretty decent imo. Their short burn time makes them harder to spot, and they do ignore flares if launched close enough to the target.
Low ammo? 650 rounds of 20mm Vulcan ammo is just fine.
The only point I agree with you on is the Radar. It’s absolutely abysmal if used below 1000m, even on targets above the horizon. Wish we had a later model in the US TT with CAA mode/TISEO.

The 9is short burn time makes them extremely short range(less than aim9b), thats not a good thing, they just dont work well. There is no universe in ehich the f4e is a good plane. Bad missile all around useless radar and a decent flight model dont make for a pleasent experience at 11.3 and the br it entails.
This is false. The 9J doesn’t even have a shorter burn time than the 9B.
