Well CAS is also being quited limited or nerfed because of Gaijin’s poor logic. Anti-radation missiles should have already arrived. Letting radar SPAAs operate without that threat is silly and poor balancing.

It’s not as unhistorical as you maybe think. The flag that’s now used in War Thunder is the national flag of Japan, and guess what… it was also the national flag during WW2.

The flag currently used in War Thunder was the military flag of Japan, or the naval ensign. Japan’s military still use this flag, but it’s not to be confused with the national flag.

But why the change? One theory is that Gaijin chose to switch to the national flag because they think it is the less offensive of the two.

There is a similar situation with German flag in War Thunder, but in reverse. Current German flag in WT is the war flag (ensign) which features a red background, black cross (and censored swastika). The national flag would just be a red background with a white circle and swastika. In Germany’s case maybe Gaijin thought the ensign was the less offensive of the two (whatever that amounts to)

I don’t think you read what I said carefully, I even offered the suggestion to dumb down the IRCCM to AAM-3 levels so it isn’t nearly as horrifying to face. We already have long range IR missiles like R-24T and R-27T/ET, Python 4 just kinda brings that forward but with IRCCM in place.

Here’s a rhetorical question instead: What even is the point of having the Python 4 in the files if by the time MICA-IR, AIM-9X and the likes arrive, the Python 5 would’ve been more suited as a comparative missile?

I don’t really have a problem with the new SPAA when playing CAS. The pantsir logic has been engraved into me to stay low and out of view so I don’t really notice a whole lot different.

Helicopters with FnF missiles are a direct counter to any new SPAA. I do wish US got Longbow hellfires before the 179 though. The RAH-66, AH-64d, and AH1Z should get them.

But we dont have that either so its cas Thats op that can just sit at 20km (10km alt) and trow missiles

while IJN/JMSDF has it at a slant which as it is ingame

@Smin1080p_WT Sorry to bother but would it be possible to get a reasoning on why the flag for the Japanese tech tree got changed for the EN localization?

If XP and Costs from the AH-64D is given towards the AH-64E then yes. There’s absolutely NO reason to play the D over the standard A version. Heck the A is better since it has a smaller profile and can use Aim 9Ls
