Doubtful. Also, money talks - People from the West are what keeps this game financially afloat.
I’m not sure that’s the case, at least it doesn’t seem like it from my experience in game.
There are many people in China but War Thunder is not an officially sanctioned game there
arent the chinese servers upkept by tencent by themselves?
Used to, yes. Discontinued in 2022. So all remaining playerbase in China play on other servers now.
It would be extremely hypocritical of Gaijin to listen to the Chinese community in this situation after refusing to listen to the British/Commonwealth player community about not wanting India to become a subtree
fair enough
its a damn rabbithole for gaijin if they decide to cater one of the most ignorant parts of the community and the other keeps getting ignored lol
This user on reddit made a insightful explanation, if you’re interested
Because Taiwan is, even by it’s own constitution, an inseparable part of China. Simple as.
I don’t mind VT-4 (VN-1C and FK-3 too) in Japan tree as I stated maybe a hundred times by now but people do. Trying to make childish 'gotcha’s with false analogues is pointless.
What the hell, man
Simply, false equivalence.
Pointing out captured Japanese equipment in Chinese tree is also one people commonly resort to. But it is not at all similar.
Yet again, you can’t blame people for how they feel. Making remarks with zero understanding of reality is poinless.
So if that is the case the M1A2T also shouldn’t be added to the Chinese tree if the US players don’t want that to happen.
Comanche MFD’s are still broken
Cool, now you can boogie in the cockpit while a Roland is coming to kill you.
It’s a bad change to come right now, when the level 60 BP task requires seven of them, for sure.
It’s not a false equivalent for the purpose of War Thunder.
A subtree is as inseparable from its host nation as Taiwan is from China in-game.
The same goes for East Germany in the German tree and in theory for former soviet nations in the USSR tree.
The Japanese tree has as much of a claim for the VT-4 via Thailand as the Chinese tree has for the M1A2T via Taiwan.
For both cases there also is the point to be made that just because a nation is a (sub)tree in the game doesn’t mean that all vehicles that have ever been operated by said nation have to be added to the game, but that has nothing to do with the nations’ “status”.
Captured equipment is a different topic entirely and is handled in a different way than regular service equipment.
Still hope the BMD-4M2 gets 3UBR11 APFSDS-T rounds but what’s the history of the vehicle?
I saw that the BMD-4M2 uses the Sinista turret and has parts compatibility with the BMP-3 but is it used at all in serial production or is it just a vehicle shown in 2017 only? I haven’t seen to many photos of the M2. If it’s just a one off, I’d rather have the premium BMD-4M be swapped with the BMD-4M2 so we can have a production BMD-4M in the TT.
Also, nice to see some more Digital camouflages for Chinese tanks however, we need some more for vehicles that have long been equipped with it IRL like the ZLT11, ZBD04A, etc.
There would be some upset people for sure, can’t please everyone. But I don’t mind waiting until a better date for them to be added to the tree.
It doesn’t really matter, it’s just delayed and getting added either way.
