Now that that is out of the way, it’s mantlet is massive and most 540+mm pen rounds will also give the UFP armor a run for it’s money.
Anyone who struggles against the armor of either of these tanks has bigger concerns than the overall balance of top tier.

I would say, keep the Mk 16 as the Squadron, but at least add the Mk IV & IX to the tech tree then, and maybe even the Mk 35.
If they wanted to add an interesting variant of the Mosquito bomber, it could be the B Mk VII. It is a Candian built Mosquito, based on the B Mk V prototype, which could hold 2x 1000lb bombs internally instead of the 4x500lb, plus 2x 500lb bombs on the wings.
Also the boucning bomb version too

Well, the “changes” on the dev server in particular, and the overall situation with the WT-Naval-Mode in the game in general, are compelling me to write a review of critical importance for the entire naval community.
The main problem of “naval gamemode” is the lack of adequate feedback from developers to the audience!
Especially, I emphasize and repeat, with the loyal and constructive audience!
Meanwhile!
Considering the problems and trends that have accumulated since late spring of this year, War Thunder Naval needs:
- Restoring the survivability of ships by compartment to the level of March-April 2025;
- Restoring the survivability of ships by eliminating the notorious “elevator effect” to the level of March-April 2025;
- Restoring the reduced accuracy of the main calibers to an adequately comfortable level, allowing the players to realize their personal potential, in other words, back to the level of early spring 2025;
- Restore various maps with islands, straits, shelters, etc., which were cancelled for high-level sessions, and also add intermediate spawn points;
- Adopt changes to the game AI bot lists, removing the upper limit so that high-level sessions feature not only battleships and rare cruisers, but also numerous destroyers and frigates; preferably in a class-matching ratio that reflects the atmosphere and history.
In this context and as an example, desirable, but not essential:
- Restore and refine the mechanics for separate control of the ship’s propulsion units;
- Restore the mechanics for manual control of the towing cables;
- Add a mechanic for setting anchors.
The War Thunder Naval and players absolutely DO NOT NEED any further nerfs to ship survivability and session lifespan!
After the changes over the past six months, we need the exact opposite.
Separately, it can be noted that a nerf to the accuracy of AI bot air defenses is desirable; a nerf to the accuracy of player air defenses is questionable; and a nerf to the range of player air defenses is unacceptable.
Perhaps this will even bring back the fun of playing the naval mode, which I was so enthusiastically praising just six months ago.

In addition decrease the virtual height of the binocular view as this allows to shoot over islands where there is no really line of sight. This also often causes the shooting from spawn to spawn which is annoying. Nerf the accuracy of bluewater ships when they target maneuvering coastals several km away.
Remove the limit of bomb loads for the 2. aircraft spawn as planes in naval are all but not overpowered - there is no cas issue in naval like in the ground modes!
Unfortunately our critics and complaints about the change in arcade aiming last spring were totally ignored and not even commented by GJ - hope they take the chance this time to take our feedback into account!
