Someone other than me had made a game bug report regarding the AGM-84H missile seeker losing lock on certain maps due to the terrain following feature. However it was handled as if the report was a historical report rather than a game bug report.
Could it be reviewed? I reported the moderator’s comment with the explanation I have just explained with.
The main issue is we don’t have LOAL for air-to-ground munitions currently. Which is how the AGM-84 and other similar munitions would require their targets.
Sources would be required regarding incorrect flight paths etc.
Yes, implementing LOAL would be the solution to this issue, and because developers refuse to implement LOAL for these terrain-following missiles, players will continue to see their missiles lose lock and fail to re-acquire their targets.
Are you sure about that? I know for a fact that AGM-114 hellfires can be launched without laser completely behind cover and laser can be activated last couple of seconds before impact so that missile can lock on to it.
AGM-65’s too, they can start tracking ground targets if the seeker sees the target. The problem here is inability to launch TV/IR guided AGM’s without locking on the vehicle or point on the ground which for terrain following missiles and glide bombs that have GNSS + IR/TV seeker makes no sense.
What kind of queue take years to queue? For knowing issues like weight of Sholef, which has a misvalue of 15 tons more than realistic, or for the armor issue for Ariete and Merkava
