Also BTD. Should have bought one years ago. It’s essentialy better armed, slightly slower Fw 190 F8 at lower BR.
Leopard 2 A7 brochure from the manufacturer, KNDS; archived LEOPARD 2 A7 NO page from the website of the manufacturer, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG
Cool sources man, too bad none of these state 63kp/h, only the Bundeswehr website does, but lets just throw them in anyway to act as if they’re relevant to Leopard 2 A7V in any way lmao

“Leopard 2 A7 brochure from the manufacturer, KNDS”
Oh, here, have another!
maybe this helps for the next time you’re trying to lie about some specification of Leopard 2 A7V! (Even though this is literally 2 A8 config before it was renamed lmfao)
Odd how these do not show a 2 A7V, isnt it?
Since when are Leopard 2 A7NO, Leopard 2 PSO-VT and Leopard 2 A8 a Leopard 2 A7V?
How come you dont even have a singular source for 2 A7V specifically?
http://tank-masters.de/?page_id=264
Leopard PSO-VT (2 A7+ Duel-Ops), based on a dutch Leopard 2 A6

Leopard 2 A7NO

Leopard 2 A8
and finally, the vehicle that is totall identical to all of these above (sarcasm ofc), Leopard 2 A7V:
oh and as a Bonus, this is also a Leopard 2 A7 according to KNDS:
I think anyone, regardless of how much they know about these vehicles, can easily tell that these sources being applied to Leopard 2 A7V and Leopard 2 A7HU is laughable at best, malicious at worst.
But hey, i do also kinda wonder what lie they will come up with the next time we find another bundeswehr publication state that -9° to +20° is the correct elevation-area for 2 A7V…
States laser warning system as well lol but doesn’t look like you can have that from the brochure
On all aircraft or only for bombers?
Oh no of course not, you see, it shows a different configuration of the vehicle, so gaijin can’t use the values in it!
Aside from the gun-depression of course, that’s obviously okay.
Ohh cherry picking the bad things then?
well… do you have proof that that brochure is wrong on the depression?

Honestly, I don’t understand what you’re relying on when you reduce the vertical aiming angles for the Leopard 2A7 and 2A8. Here’s a source that lists all the characteristics of the main gun. I understand that ChatGPT isn’t the most reliable source, but still, it indicates that the vertical aiming depends on the specific modification — how can a German modification be worse?
response from AI:
The German Leopard 2 main battle tank family generally has a gun elevation and depression range of −9° to +20° across most variants.
Variant Gun Depression Gun Elevation
Leopard 2A4 −9° +20°
Leopard 2A5 −9° +20°
Leopard 2A6 −9° +20°
Leopard 2A7 / 2A7V −9° +20°
Leopard 2A8 −9°* +20°*
For the Leopard 2A8, these figures are based on the commonly reported specifications of the Leopard 2 family. I have not found independent confirmation of the exact gun elevation and depression limits for the production 2A8.
Important note: Some sources report a gun elevation and depression range of −7.4° to +17.4° for certain Leopard 2A7+ configurations. Therefore, the actual limits may vary depending on the specific vehicle configuration.
A source: Leopard 2 @ The World Wars.net
As for the maximum speed, the same sources indicate it.
We do not agree with this change and ask you to reconsider it; we have provided you with all the evidence. With all due respect!
Bro, you’re the best; we all need to prove to the developers that they’re wrong in this case.
I got more OEM sources (Rheinmetall in this case, stating everything necessary; Explicit mention of L55A1 and that its used by Leo 2 A7V plus the elevation angles the BW also states)
but I’ll keep looking to give them less room to find stupid excuses again
I’m with you, friend; I’m also continuing to look for at least some sources or measurements.
For Leopard 2 A7V? Yes.

Rheinmetall Defence Authored Article on Leopard 2’s armament:
Also, see:
Plus the two tankograd books from Zwilling, aswell as the Gesamtwerk book from the Procurement/Project manager for Leopard 2 in the Bundeswehr; Frank Lobitz.
But guess who doesnt have a source for Leopard 2 A7V?
Right, gaijin
They’re fine with using sources for different vehicles alltogether.
@Smin1080p_WT with the inability to select from multiple TGPs could these accepted bug reports be fixed this update?

Youre really using a tweet? man… thats pretty funny ngl thats quite a straw to clutch at as we both know that this is not a source of substance at all, at least i think well enough of you to think you know this, im not sure with the crashouts over the information on the newer leo 2s showing less than the desired depression.
Arguing with the manufacturer brochures is also an intresting one to have seen relating to this. The data whoever in the company made this had will exactly what they were. Your comment on that bug report “bundesweihr disagrees”, their PR guys arent the engineers. The company that actually built it is the best source unless a Technical Handbook is legally dispensed to the public. The military users are also more likely to overblow the capability of their kit than the producer, we arent dealing with russians and americans so i dont think there will be marketing lies from KNDS here, plus who would make their stuff look worse than it really is when trying to flog it?
also DW the leo 2 will still be the best overall MBT in war thunder, however the abrams and such will be closer now.
If you had taken a singular second to check the link whatsoever, or check the original report linked in my message, you wouldnt have come up with something so remarkably stupid.
This is, for one, the official Bundeswehr account, posting the same video as the Youtube account, both of which are under administration of the BMVg (German Ministry of Defense).
You also seemingly just outright ignored what Rheinmetall Defence (The manufacturer of the Weapon- and Fire-Control System) wrote regarding the elevation-limits.
And again, if you had even read anything I wrote, you’d have realised that the KNDS brochure is not even such for Leopard 2 A7V but 2 A7NO, a different vehicle.
KNDS markets more than a dozen incredibly different configurations as “Leopard 2 A7” and “2 A7+”, going from Leopard 2 PSO-VT (2010) to 2 A6M CAN (2012), over various DuelOps versions, down to a configuration that was, after a very short time, advertised as Leopard 2 A8 demonstrator.
And yet, not a singular source for the Bundeswehrs Leopard 2 A7V (read the f’ing designation!!) was used by gaijin to make this change.
That aside, have you ever even looked at KNDS website before? Their Leopard 2 data is all over the place, every page contradicts the next. The Leopard 2 A8 brochure is a copy pasted Leopard 2 A7NO brochure and a ton of the specifications have changed since, yet they still advertise it with said incorrect (for 2 A8) brochure. They even include pictures of Leopard 2 A7’s and write “Leopard 2 A8” below them (as they just changed the number, disregarding what it actually shows). Their marketing materials ars about as trustworthy as jürgen from the mcdonalds dumpster.
Sourcing aside, claiming that “Leopard 2 is still the best mbt” in WT is just laughauble, abrams mogs it at every BR it’s present at already, not even speaking of the Strv 122’s, which are just outright superior, where not identical, to Leopard 2’s in every relevant way.
Abrams is the best overall MBT ever since 5s reload buff, and it only rooted at this position with Trophy and Sepv3 versions. Literally the only place it looses is armor, and even there it is not by much, also it is important to note that it has better survivability than Leo. It is faster both in acceleration and too speed, it has better firepower, it has better offensive utility (multipurpose for aviation and drones, M908 with decreased sensitivity discovered to be wonderful counter to hull down BMPT, and now Sepv3 inteoduced HE shell, and Abrams can carry all of it behind blowout pannels in ungodly amount), defensive utility (ESS and .50 cal, both are extremely overlooked and underutilized).
“im mad that info says one thing and my counter info lacks substance” wall 'o text.

Find some actual concrete evidence against the brochures used and quit malding that le primary source is primary.
Abrams is brilliant, but no. Be real with yourself
He already did, but since you are unable to engage in adequate manner you purposefully ignore or omit that information. Memes not gonna help your position.
A tweet/youtube video and screeching about brochure/promotional inconsistency isnt helpful to the cause of changing the leo back to a higher depression angle, which goes against manufacturer details.
Find something of actual substance for the CBR system or stop complaining that gaijin is modelling it to a higher degree of accuracy than just copy pasting all attributes from prior leo 2 variants.
