The decals on the Abrams aren’t applied symmetrically on the front of the turret, and I don’t know if the same happens in other parts of the tank.

A lot of people don’t know but the Abrams is asymmetrical. Along with the Challenger series as well. I personally don’t mind it but I can see why the wallet warriors who blew 50-60 on a “Rule of cool” tank might be upset when it might not be as “cool” as they perceived

Yes, the turret isn’t symmetrical, but the decals should be, since they’re painted separately from the turret itself.
Yeah but if you have two planes (in this case, the turret cheeks) that are different angles you’re gonna get the clipping you experienced above. It’s probably just better to do with 2 decals. In real life, of course, such a problem wouldn’t exist-yet in real life HESH isn’t as ass as it is in-game
