The current state of War Thunder Ground Simulator Battles is horrible (CAS)

The current state of ground simulator is horrible. The game isn’t balanced in any way, and this is all because of one thing: CAS. (Im going to speak from the perspective of a Swedish main)

Im not going to go over here saying “Russian bias this, Russian bias that”, but I am going to say that the Pantsir-s1 is far superior than any of it’s Western competitors. And that is a problem because of the fact that Russia also holds some of the strongest CAS aircraft in game, for example the SU-34.

Now removing CAS is not a smart idea, as that leaves the role of SPAA completely useless. Another way to go about this issue is to nerf the range of the guided bombs in game, but that would also be a problem as the game looses it’s realism.

In my opinion, I think that the best way to resolve and fix the state of Ground SB is to simply buff the Anti Air in SB and RB. One way to go about this is to add new and improved SPAA for the west. I’m going to reach and say that the Patriot is one thing that they can add, but that would most likely be far too OP. Another (Most likely better) way to go about this issue is to limit the amount of Aircraft that can be in the sky at once. Because when you load into a game of ground and you see two tanks and 6 aircraft, you aren’t really filled with excitement.

I would gladly hear the opinion of the playerbase in this subject. (Sorry if anything is spelled wrong, English isn’t my first language)

nice name… brian… or do you prefer… rudy?

Buff anti air?

I get your issue with the balance, but this is mostly due to the spaa/sams introduced not the mechanics themselves.

SPAA already has a huge buff in SB simply because ground vehicles are allowed mouse aim.

Sure top tier CAS gets a level of mouse aim too… Both shouldn’t be in sim.
SB GF is a shitshow, that needs fixing well before we talk about balance

Let’s first fix the cold war bracket first, where iron bombs faces mouse aim gepards and even pgz09
