The CS/SA5's capabilities are not suited for BR 12.0

The poor missile performance renders the CS/SA5 virtually ineffective against jet aircraft in top-tier ground battles. The FB10A lacks a datalink or imaging lock capability, severely limiting its ability to engage low-heat signature targets (like the MQ-1 Predator drone). It also lacks self-defense rounds like APDS. Its missiles suffer from poor G-load tolerance, weak thrust, and an engagement logic that only utilizes lofted trajectories.

The radar refresh rate is way slower than the antenna rotation speed – like three times slower. This causes constant ghosting in 3rd person view, failing to lock, locking thin air, or missing targets completely.

APDS would be nice

20g overload is certainly not the performance a BR 12.0 SPAA should have.

Interestingly, the CS/SA5’s 30mm AP belt only penetrates 65mm at 10m, which is merely +2mm over the PGZ04A’s 25mm AP rounds(63mm at 10m).

Either decrease its BR, or give it better missiles and ammunition。I think this is the only reasonable thing

A 20G overload is completely insufficient with a weighting of 12.0. High-maneuverability fixed-wing aircraft can evade missiles through maneuver alone. The missile’s speed is too slow and it suffers from excessive drag, making it almost impossible to reach its actual lethal range of 18km

The Chinese vehicles are lack of features in top tier battles. The game planners are gradually disappointing players who love Chinese vehicles, and are eliminating the last possibility of establishing a friendly and positive connection with the Chinese player community.

It’s ridiculous that they put it at 12.0 while it can’t even do anything against an MQ1
Just lower its BR to 11.0 or admit that none of the staffs play the game they work on
The work flow of gaijin is like:
hey this tech tree need a spaa at 12.0 so we put it there instead of balancing its weaponary and decide its br

The CS/SA5 need entirely re make

At longer ranges, it can’t shoot down drones or helicopters. In reality, it’s an anti-air vehicle designed to counter drones, but in-game, it can’t even hit reconnaissance drones. And sitting at a BR (Battle Rating) of 12.0, it’s neither historically accurate nor balanced.

Rather than a complete rework, it needs either adjustments to its specific weak points or to be moved back down to its proper battle rating.
For example, issues like the missiles’ low G-load tolerance, poor tracking capability, and the fact that a supposedly 160mm-caliber missile packs a warhead of only a little over 1 kg of TNT equivalent.

This vehicle cannot even shoot down attack drones within their engagement range, which is utterly absurd for a top-tier SPAA at BR 12.0.

It’s hard to imagine an anti-aircraft missile with a diameter of 160mm and a length of 2.7m carrying only 1.26kg of explosive charge.
When I was doing the translation, even the AI couldn’t help but comment on this ridiculous comparison between the dimensions and the explosive charge, which clearly shows it’s a glaring error.

It’s hard to believe that we can get a lav-like AA in 12.0 with some benefits and even some disadvantages

The claim that a top-tier 12.0 BR SPAA cannot effectively lock onto attack drones is utterly absurd.

I hope the staff of gaijin can personally play with the CS/SA5. Do you think the performance of this vehicle is worthy of the 12.0 BR? Why do Chinese vehicles made by gaijin always disappoint again and again?

I believe the CS/SA5 is absolutely undeserving of a 12.0 battle rating. Firstly, its ground-attack armament is extremely weak - lacking both anti-tank missiles (Spike) and armor-piercing discarding sabot (APDS) rounds, as well as having no reconnaissance capabilities. Secondly, its missile performance is equally poor - with only 20G maneuverability, minimal explosive payload, limited guidance modes, and most importantly, an extremely short engagement range that doesn’t match the 12.0 BR tier standards. Given these shortcomings in its current configuration, the CS/SA5 should not remain at 12.0 BR - either rework it for this tier or reduce its battle rating to 11.3.

The CS/SA5’s capabilities are clearly mismatched for a 12.0 battle rating. More critically, this vehicle’s performance has not been authentically recreated at all - it merely replicates the visual appearance, while its operational capabilities are fundamentally inconsistent with historical accuracy and tier-appropriate standards.
