they dont want another “unecessary” flight model modelling
so they chose the riskiest and most lazy route
Not even surprised honestly, it’s why I don’t have much hope for top tier in the future, the community will constantly eat up the newest hot technologies without punishing Gaijin for not updating core gameplay mechanics to accommodate the new technology
given that they working on the 9X to work they probably gonna add it too
so more miserable top tier, but not for me heehee
Yeah I’m waiting patiently on the new IIR missiles, I know that Gaijin won’t model them properly, and I know it’s going to be miserable gameplay, but why not
BVR isn’t meta.
Have you? Bvr hasnt been the meta for a while now.
Why notch at bvr ranges you can bleed everything with barely any effort past 20km
No because why multipath bvr shots when you can just do two cranks and the missile is cooked
How can anyone still think that Aim-120 amraam is still OP in the current update? This is ridiculous lmao
It’s not OP like it used to be on release but it’s also not the worst Fox 3 in the game like some claim it is. In that sense, the missile is fine.
it is by far the worst for close range which is where most kills come from
It really isn’t that bad at close range though. People are crying that you can’t use it at ranges below 15km or else the missile pulls 5G max, but it performs perfectly fine so long as you don’t try to use it like an R-73 or Magic II.
you mean as long as you are fine with a missile that pulls significantly less Gs and has twice or more the delay before it starts pulling as every other ARH at top tier?
This is my recent two months data(Remove the data from ground combat played this week.), I’ve played ground battle with the Su-30 a bit.
If it’s just about taking out less skilled players, then any type of FOX-3 missile is more or less equally effective. But when you’re up against skilled opponents, engagements usually happen within 10 km and involve constant maneuvering. In such scenarios, the AIM-120A/B is often ineffective, whereas other FOX-3 missiles don’t have this problem. Now, with Gaijin’s newly implemented AIM-120C5, not only is the overall performance lacking, but the fov—something that should’ve been improved for better resistance against jamming—has become no better than AIM-120A/B. So why would I even bother using this missile?
If you just want to play the fox3 used in gamble, then I have nothing to say.
cuz RU main already cry the moment they add C-5, and other nations main too bcuz “muh OP”. Turns out its not even that OP compare to other existing missiles, cried so much that they nerfed within 2 days of release so its now basically AIM-120A/B copy paste. This not only hurt the C-5 but the SLAMRAAM that utilized the C-5
I know unless they fix something Im going to keep using 120A/B because they actually hit faster for relevant shots and Ive heard are slightly more agile at close range due to having slightly less mass at that point
That’s a really really big stretch lmao, AIM-120 not pulling 500G doesn’t mean people outpull the missile regularly without properly defending and bleeding the energy of the missile.
You people are acting like the AIM-120 is an AIM-9D when everyone else is running around with R-73, the performance disparity isn’t as huge as y’all complain it is.
When you’re used to the best overall ARH missile with the largest supply (R-77-1, range, agility and seeker quality are average, best in class or tied for best), of course the mediocre option feels terrible.
I’m just saying that the AIM-120 doesn’t need to go back to how it was on release, where it invalidated the existence of everything else with great overall agility and best in class range, while nothing else even held a candle.
it very much is a huge disparity, any other top tier ARH can make significantly further off bore shots which lets them go defensive much quicker after firing
