The Mica has literally never been the meta, that is an absolutely awful take. It can barely match the derby in range due to its stupidly high drag. If you’re getting close enough to Rafale’s where their MICAs are going to stomp you, then that’s on you, stay high and stay fast

Have you been living under a rock or have you just been ignoring aaaallll of the complaints about the MICA’s lackluster range on the forums, or even on YouTube? XD
The AMRAAM is still the king of BVR, it will continue to be that way unless Gaijin decides to unnerf half the missiles in the game like the AAM-4, PL-12, MiCA etc
If that’s the case, would you gently explain us how you outperformed the EF with so good aim-120s ‘if you know what you’re doing’ in KDR with your chinese and ‘out of meta’ Mirage?

Because people decided to get close? Not exactly hard to figure out… if you haven’t got experience with both missiles then why are you arguing?
The fact that I’ve played these nations and actually experienced how these missiles perform, kinda says everything. The Mica has literally never matched the Aim-120 in range, not unless Gaijin fixes the TVC issue.
Please point out where I brought up the statcard range.
You better get to check my profile if your best guess is betting that i don’t have experience with MICAs.
You’re just overpraising the AIM-120s on impractical scenarios that, given your performance, you’ve found significantly less than in the Mirage.

you say MICA cant match Derby range
Derby “range” is 80km which is statcard range
Derby realistic range realistically is only 50km ish
which is the same range as MICA, but then gaijin put a limit on MICA range so it automatically self destruct past 50.1km

If you’re saying that flying at 30,000 feet at 1000mph launching Aim-120s at BVR ranges is impractical, then you literally have no idea what you’re talking about.
Again, where did I mention statcard range? You’re just interpreting what I’m saying incorrectly….
so WHAT are you saying then? because in this scenarios there is no way Derby has more range than MICA, if anything MICA got gatelock by gaijin so it cant go further than 50km

Probably the most brain dead thing I’ve seen in the forums to date, you see that I’ve got a 1.3ish KD in the Typhoon and you say I must be underperforming with Amraams xD
The fact that you just backed up my statement about the Mica being worse at range than the AMRAAM says a lot.
why does more range matter when most of the time u get a RWR ping and dive down to multipath anyways
range only matter when ur opponents is going 5k alt and doesnt notch dodge or multipathing
u cannot take max range or higher range seriously when everyone is flying as low as -1m alt and everyone is multipathing

When compared to your so said out-of-meta MICAs, you are underperforming with the so OP 120s by a reasonable margin.
Mirage 2000 |74/141 = 1.905|
Typhoon |71/103 = 1.451|
