Because most ARB players were butthurt they couldn’t just multipath straight at people anymore and had very little actually defensive maneuvering experience.
And people still do it, and die to it all the time, it doesn’t matter if you can actually fight against it yourself, it only matters if it’s a good way of getting kills, because the combination of a Typhoon/F-15E and amraams was an incredibly survivable (to yourself) and deadly combo. Which is what made it meta…
You’re bending a plain fact out of a invalid comparison:
- France at 14.0 games have 63.5% WR.
- The only plane France has at 14.0 is the Rafale.
Your WR stat argument may be valid for GRB discussions, but for ARB, and unless the entire French community plays with Mirage 4000s uptiered to 14.0, it’s just disingenuous and only shows you either conveniently miss concepts or just plain don’t know about stuff and you’re just arguing sefl-entitled for your pride.
It doesn’t make the AIM-120 good. It makes players bad, that’s it.
By that same logic, the R-77-1 is just straight better than the AIM-120 currently. It can be fired from lower and slower and still maintain a time to impact advantage against AIM-120s at long range while being flatly better in close, so you’re still wrong.
Well yeah the R-77-1 would probably be better than the AMRAAM in most engagements, but they’re put on much worse platforms… which is why it isn’t really the “meta” missile.
I’d like to. Cause it is just a friendly discussion. If you play better, I would like to learn some skills anyway.
I mean I’m always willing to play, though imma head to bed soon
its not the meta missile because mica exists
it is better than or equivalent to amraam in pretty much all situations
Wouldn’t really say the Rafale can match the F-15E/Typhoon and AMRAAM combo, it wouldn’t do as well using the same strategy as it doesn’t get up to altitude and speed as fast as they do, the mica suits better for what the Rafale is better suited for as well, brawling at close ranges
Except that it’s not? Its on the Su-30SM, which has undisputably the 2nd best radar in-game (or flatly the best depending on your opinion of the RBE2) and even despite being on a worse kinematic platform, exceeds the AIM-120 in kinematic performance, while carrying dramatically more magazine depth, to the point that it can literally BVR straight at you in your EF-2000, shoot down all your “sooooo powerful BVR AIM-120s” and still have half its missiles left to chase you home, sad and stupid with your tail between your legs.
I don’t think you realise how sluggish the SU-30 is in comparison, it didn’t get the SU-27SMs engine thrust, only getting the ability to TVC whilst the airframe also increasing in weight. And you mention about shooting down missiles, not really much a single SU-30 is going to do vs multiple F-15s and Typhoons at high altitude lobbing missiles at people who are staying low before they get a chance to shoot, it isn’t as clear cut a strategy as you might think it is.
I’m not talking out of my ass, unlike you. I actually have all of these aircraft.
Oh so now it’s not an ARB match, but a coordinated flight? My my my how the goal posts move.
But if you really want to imply that it is an ARB match, what are all the Su-30SMs teammates doing while it’s somehow being singled out🤔. Could it be they are closing the distance unopposed to trounce those F-15s and Typhoons with dramatically higher PK missiles!!?!?😱
The engagements around this ‘muh 120 is the best’ dude has been an entire psyop frfrfr
These are stats you can literally look at in the X-ray alone…
Haven’t moved the goalposts at all, the only planes flying at high-altitude are F-15Es and Typhoons, and a LOT of people play them… you’re just making stuff up lol
it actually dose
And you’re claiming it’s sluggish, having flown the worst flanker a grand total of 5 times as a comparison…
Spoiler
This could be used for basically your entire argument as well.
And so comically easily you actually are better off using the drop tanks to keep from ripping your wings while you do it
When did I say I had flown the flanker and was using that as a comparison? Again, making up an argument cause you’re angry… The SU-30s sluggishness compared to the SU-27SM is widely known throughout the community, because it takes a single brain cell to figure out less thrust + increased weight = worse kinematic performance.
Which would matter if the R-77-1 didn’t do so much heavy lifting it doesn’t even matter
its actually really funny that you said this considering you flew face first into the dirt like 3 times trying to multipath during the 1v1 lol
