CAS hate is a bit out of control. Premise I’m a pilot mainly and a pretty bad tankman, but I try because it’s just a game. Most of the times I did CAS because of daily tasks or battlepass challenges. Mainly I spawn in an aircraft to intercept and defend friendly tanks (and someone called me CAS main, CAS enjoyer and so on). I just removed any aircraft from my ground lineup just because it’s kinda impossible to spawn in a plane above a certain BR.
You can only make the missile worse not better. In an ideal launch the missile still misses most of the time.

You get nothing but abuse for killing a ground vehicle but 0 thanks for defending your entire team from air attacks in the same aircraft
Yes but launching it outside of ideal lunch conditions and expecting a hit is a skill issue
hell yeah. You can shoot down the guy carrying a nuke and saving the match and still the same story

Maybe try harder to figure out why we can have better 9B/stinger kill rates lol.
Shoot 9B as 9X and call it ideal
Now that sort of idea is a good one. Ground related stuff should cost, but the air component should be base.

The kill rate is 100% against people who don’t pay attention and 0% against people that do.

Relying on the plane getting third partied doesn’t make SPAA good.
Which is not the same as ARB 10g msls. Hint: GRB is no Duel; you have access to stingers at below 10.x.
Honestly, to have the 2 posts I made flagged in here, is indicative of the true root of the problem.
Many, and I mean MANY cannot handle someone saying something that doesn’t align with thier gripe and until they stop trying to FORCE an echo chamber NO-ONE will get past the dead-set death and impossible mountain to get over that is that there isn’t just one way to play.
Last night I had a Yak9 player proclaiming they knew how to fly, yet they blacked out thier pilot and crashed whilst trying to ‘‘dogfight’’ my 190… He was over commited, had too much speed, and was trying to take swings at me with the glass cannon he thought was so easy because they’d been ‘shown’ and told, it was ‘so easy’…
There is no discussion on this forum, because those who are adamant in not listening and taking on board what is put forth are just dictating.

If you want a fire and confirmed to kill, that’s 9L vs flareless, or impchap. This is already cas hate.
Under these conditions, the msls works in real matches as a death globe. No counterplay, no matter cap or cas if you still know cap is a thing.
Any other fnf, excluding gate width + shut down (doable but hard for many non-top FMs) and smokeless, including radar ones (idk what do they have for buk after test server), can be seen as dodgable if in brained duel, and would be disliked by ground mains e.g. stingers

Idk who even started to bring up the Aim-9B. You can’t compare A2A ans G2A missiles because in one scenario a bad missile can be used to force the enemy to maneuver and capitalize on their mistake while in the other it can be
In ARB you can sneak up on enemies and you can ambush they if they don’t have 360° awareness. In GRB you only have to check a 1km×1km square to check for missiles.
People trying to get cas removed are the same that stay camping in a dirty spot all match or spawncamping, and you cant kill him bc hes hidding behind a rock using the 3rd person view to wait for u to distract
Actually, Most of CAS issues are from Russia get superpower CAS, whatever the Heli, F&F AGM or APHE from the sky.
Gaijin is always overreaction on balance, they add new SPAA, which is good, but then nerf the SP for CAS, which made most of Stirkers/Bombers useless. and due to their inefficiency, we still leak of enough SPAA for all BR, which causes the CAS to get nerfed again, but meanwhile, some of SPAAs make CAS hard to play(like 7.7-8.7)
The hate of CAS mostly from those who don’t get SPAA or fighters players, so maybe we can just C&P naval battle to give these players free SPAA/planes(not the best, but must have the options) before they unlock these vehicles
Hey, I greatly enjoy tank gameplay, it’s super fun. You’re just describing something that I feel applies to every game mode, a lot of people treat the game like it’s a job and keep playing it even if they hate it.
Usual issue additionally - people who just have fun have little incentive to hop on Reddit or the forums and communicate their enjoyment, while people who need to vent have a strong incentive to do just that.
Yes, true, but it’s a two way street, there are players that also feel that tanks should only exist as bombing range targets, just as their are people in ARB that think that only fighters and dog fighting should be allowed in the mode.
Which is also part of the issue… how bad ARB is for attacker/ bomber gameplay.
A lot of the issues come from things like map design and poor implementation of SPAAs, no cover from tanks, especially in the “bus” spaas on most maps, open firing lines into the spawn preventing you from moving out so CAS always knows where to find you, tracers being far do visible in a direct head on approach, lack of gyro sights/ lead calculation on high cal. SPAAGs…
The fact that many are balanced off their tank killing ability, not their anti air ability, which leads to the issue of: die to a plane, look at your team when you re-spawn, see 3 or 4 SPAAs so you pull another tank… and get bombed again because every one of those SPAAs are trying to kill tanks and ignoring the planes.

exactly, the sheer EGO on people in here… they want their stuff to be OP and dominant, and their opponents to be weak and underpowered
No such thing as weak and underpowered, both teams start equal and both teams have access to weaponry that are more or less equal. The problem is players who wants to play tank are stuck with only one game mode which is combined arms where planes can kill tanks and tanks cannot kill planes, if we have dedicated game modes for one particular type then we wouldn’t need to neft CAS and we wouldn’t have ended up in current predicament, it would be like arcade ground players and realistic ground players that don’t bother each other.
