Which we disagree with because BR should be the only balance mechanism. Overperforms? Increase BR.
But this is and has been their current reason. They have said as such on the previous report. It’s the same reason why the late Chieftains get a fake L23 that Gaijin believes is some sort of “experimental/test” round and are using it for “balance”.
Many of us just want vehicles to be as accurate as possible.
Added some more information and sources to the report, having found during research that the US forces were also issued M61 in both fuzed and unfuzed forms. The unfuzed M61 is highlighted.
Hopefully this casts further doubt on the British modifying the rounds themselves, as it means that they were being issued from US industry to US Army without filler.
Sometimes I like to correct single digits just to keep them on their toes.
In this case, I’m trying to remove a low-tier nerf that puts people off playing the secret Fourth Major faction. Low tiers are incredibly important for player introduction and retention, likewise Israel is hugely disadvantaged by its lack of low tier ground equipment.
Who knows how many people out there got to Rank III Britain and just turned back because other factions are more forgiving?
I did that a while ago, my friends were grinding Germany so I also grinded it. Once I got past the <3.0 suffering, I loved the APHE on the tanks, it was so relieving that I actually started to enjoy low tier again, I especially love the Panthers with good mobility, decent manoeuvrability and a gun equal to the 17 pdr but better in because of the APHE, it is what the 17 pdr should have been. I still love Britain but the APHE is just sooo nice, I also like high pen (probably a result of being a British player) so I also enjoy the K.w.K 42 more for that and the APHE just amplifies it, will soon be unlocking the Tiger H1 but don’t have time to even play WT
Code monkey job, to a degree. That said, there are frequently things that pop up in bug reports or vehicle implementation that make anyone with some automotive knowledge wince.
Having people there with real-life knowledge is also essential for quality control, even more so for the aircraft and radar stuff (which I 100% do not understand and deliberately ignore).
Or even disable all American 75mm APHE rounds, but hopefully we do finally get APHE on the QF 75 and then have a reason to play Churchill 7, Cromwell 5 and more. I do wish the british did develop that 75mm gun that would also make the case bigger so it would be like a Allied ‘‘copy’’ of the Panther’s gun but with the amazing damage of the M61 and M48
Yeah a 17 pdr APHE round I suppose, but in that calibre the Brits received a lot of 76 mm Shermans so had no need to further develop a 3 inch gun themselves (UK Sherman 76 when?).
I mean the gun before the 77mm HV that was meant to use the US 75mm rounds but a much bigger casing the size of a 17pdr casing but it never went much past anywhere and they went with the 77mm HV
