The British 75 mm problem

Vickers 75 HV or whatever it was called, yeah. Not mine but there’s a bit of archive archaeology coming up for that.

US vehicles should then receive 57 mm APDS (which they did use) and the Littlejohn adapters if UK vehicles get APHE. Also, remove the experimental T45 APCR which UK somehow has!

lol what?
We talking about M61 getting its filler
the UK hasn’t even gotten its 6pdr APDS

I’m ignorant of the first two (other than the Littlejohn for Locust), but yes you can have your bloody T45 back we don’t want it. Sherman II to 3.3, please.

Little john for the 37mm?

I thought the Little john was only able to be fitted to the 2pr?

u expect me to read all this ?

Thoroughly!

There will be a test!

Tested (only by the US?), but not adopted.

A chode locust looks very weird

It’s technically compatible with every 37 mm so that is enough for its inclusion for US vehicles.

Here’s even a report for the [US missing 57 mm APDS] (actually ammo interchangeability, but also has sources for the APDS)(Community Bug Reporting System)

You know what’s weird? No British Locust.

Yes I think it’s the compatibility that’s limited its introduction to the game, we’d start crying for it on everything.

Like the way that fuzed M61 APC is compatible with the M2, M3 and QF 75 mm guns!

How’s it weird? The British were the only ones to use the Locust operationally.

Because the British still don’t have one in-game.

Weird that we don’t have it

Just like Base M4A4, M4A2(76) think thats the one we used most, T14, T18E2, TT Mustangs, Greyhound, P-400 etc

All Majorly UK operated vehicles, or UK started Projects

Google isn’t helping much, but from what I could find, the UK got more 76mm M4A1s than A2s. 1,330 vs 5 from what I can find.

With 5 being the number of A2s you guys got, more likely to get that from a commonwealth that used them in numbers.

Yeah - firing US standard 75mm with a slightly modified 3" AA gun cartridge - apparently the cartridge was just necked down from 76.2mm (ie 3") to 75mm for the projectiles and the breech was modified (for the necking down I guess).

The 77mm HV in the Comet was then this gun firing 17 pdr projectiles, which were 76.2mm of course. So the cartridge didn’t need necking down any more and it used standard 3" AA gun breech mechanism

i may have been getting the A2 confused as the one we used the least

I swear I’m dyslexic sometimes. Read his comment very wrong.

No it got accepted

3 years we’ll get it
