The BMPT’s are nearly impossible to kill especially if it’s in a hull down position! I am hoping to hear suggestions on how it should be fixed. I do not believe an increase in BR will help much as it seems to be more of a problem with its model, not to mention it being brought to top tier and still doing very well.

If you think something is wrong in the game then you need to be able to prove it either by using sources if it’s an issue with how something is modeled or with the correct files if it is a bug. You can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)

Is there a particular real life reason why the BMPTs ammo belt is the only one thats modeled as 3 distinctive parts instead of 1 continous belt?

No idea sadly, i’m not knowledgeable with the specific vehicle.
IRL 30mm ammo belt its conected to inside the hull. With no protection between the ammunition and the crew.

Bug moderators dont take clear footages as proof.
So I wonder where they get the information about BMPT ammunition protection. And even if the belts from the gun are separated from the hull, there should be a reload time then.
Is there someone official who has a lot of expertise with russian vehicles that one could ask?
I don’t have a straight answer for that one, best option would probably be to ask the Technical Moderators to see if they know anything. You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.
Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.
