The BMPT damage model needs revision

In short, I wanted to start this discussion because of some issues I’ve had with the BMPT after playing the last few days.

Something happened to me recently that I’ve already reported, but I haven’t received a response yet. When I fired at a BMPT from the side, aiming for the rear of the vehicle, the three consecutive shots I fired while distracted were canceled. The exact same thing had happened to me before. I reported it and didn’t get a reply, but the strange thing is that this time there was a higher probability of destroying it, since I was using the same vehicle and the same high-penetration ammunition (over 500 mm). However, I was almost at a right angle, so the projectile should have passed through, but it didn’t, even though I tested it with armor analysis and firing simulations.

That’s one thing, but another is that today, while playing, I came across a BMPT and, since only its gun was visible, I opted to shoot one of the missiles (called ammunition in the game when it comes to damaging it). The strange thing is that it didn’t die in the explosion, even though I shot the upper left missile. If I’m not mistaken, the firing order is top to bottom and left to right, so I should have had both missiles on the same side, right?

The thing is, the ammunition explosion had worked for me before if the target didn’t fire, but not this time. And not only that, when I watched the replay, I saw that I destroyed both upper missiles, and here’s the proof.

I could easily report this and write a whole post, but honestly, I can see the result and I don’t want my mental health to be affected, since I’m recovering from a long crisis. So I started this discussion to read your opinions and maybe find a more logical explanation. Could I be wrong? Of course, but my goal is to find a more logical explanation in case I am. Maybe even the angle of the turret relative to the BMPT’s chassis didn’t work in my favor :P

PS: By the way, I didn’t start this discussion just because of something that happened to me. I read that many people said the problem with BMPT was the damage model, and I think they’re right, so I was hoping at least someone would back me up or tell me if I’m correct or not. I also wanted to apologize if something isn’t clear, as I’m using a translator while writing this because the English-speaking community tends to be more influential and the one that usually responds. So thank you for taking the time to read this.

This thing survives shit it shouldn’t far too often. But alas it also has a premium version so the handholding cant go away easily
