That’s probably all we’re going to hear. Someone probably told the devs that a poll was held and over 800 people agreed that the BMD-4M should be in the tech tree, so they just sent Smin to quiet us down and give a cookie cutter promise of a future BMD variant for the TT.
Also, it appears people outside of the forums agree with us. Tankensteins video on the BMD-4M says that the BMD-4M should not have been a premium in the thumbnail.

My bet is that it will be the BMD-1 and be placed around the 6.7-7.0 range, since the BMP-1 has been moved up a few times recently.

Sure we have the BMD-1, BMD-2, and BMD-3 left but the BMD-4M is the most modern version that is actively used and produced. Making a unique vehicle like that (armed with a 100mm/30mm gun-combo) that a premium when we already have its other base version as an event vehicle is highly disappointing. This vehicle should have been a Researchable vehicle while something like a prototype of this or something similar should’ve been the premium. Taking away mainstream vehicles like this from the research line just irritates the community. The developer team could’ve even used the BMP-3 with the Bakhcha-U module prototype as a premium (as an example), stop taking away mainstream production vehicles from the research tree.

There should be a tech tree version with APFSDS, it’s kinda unfair that a service use vehicle is premium when the “pre-production” BMD-4 was already event…not like they could have added a million other Russian IFVs as a premium

Can’t wait for Gaijins response to “why haven’t you added any TT vehicles to Russia?” To be “we’re running out of vehicles” as if 1) that’s even remotely true 2) they didn’t just spend the last year throwing in random premiums nobody asked for

Hell, even BMD-3 with Berezhok module (like on BMP-2M) in ACTUAL tech tree would be huge (even more so considering there’s passed suggestion on RU forum)
