Even if this is true, the BMD-4M is an easy copy-paste case that gaijin always loved to do (see JA-37DI), you could even add APFSDS shells to the 30mm for the TT variant to make it somewhat defferent.
BMD variants were promised a long time ago and to see the second variant as a premium is sad at the very least.

There is BMD-4M2. Same thing but with BMP-3 turret. This should be a premium instead since it’s not in production I think?

Thanks for your response @Smin1080p_WT , but I’m sure you can understand this is in no way satisfactory. I truly hope you can do more for us.
It’s not just about the BMD-4M being premium, it’s also a lot of other things referenced in my post above and by @L1b4ninho_THL which you have not addressed that make this a real sour case.
- The fact that it took 3,5 years for an actual new BMD variant after promising a tech tree variant in July 2021 - which we now still don’t have;
- The fact that this is the 4th expensive premium for USSR ground tree this year, makes this especially seem a real greedy move over the backs of players waiting for a BMD in the tech tree;
- The fact that we haven’t had a single tech tree HT, MT, LT, MBT, IFV or TD in a single year! This would have been a great opportunity to make good on that.
- The fact that the BMD-4M is the actual main production variant of the BMD-4 series. Of course there are different versions, but should we not try to leave main production variants to the tech tree? I wouldn’t be nearly as happy with other variants later as that will take away it’s main advantage, the short missile reload. This version would bring something unique to the tech tree (especially if it got darts). But this opportunity is now lost.
All in all very unfortunate. It’s not about the cost of coughing up the money for me, if you check my profile you’ll see I own many premium tanks. But for me it is about having a healthy game and good relationship with the community. This episode surely doesn’t build trust for me.

The unmanned turret variant of the rdf/lt should also be added to the tech tree. Imo the rdf/lt is better than the hstvl bc of the ammo load. Twice the amount of rounds in exhance for worse (but still satisfactory) mobility? Its a worthy exhance imo and shouldve been put in the tech tree.
Honestly a Discrace to your customers. Everyone would be fine with Premiums everywhere when they got tech tree equivalents. Same stuff with the 2s38

That’s probably all we’re going to hear. Someone probably told the devs that a poll was held and over 800 people agreed that the BMD-4M should be in the tech tree, so they just sent Smin to quiet us down and give a cookie cutter promise of a future BMD variant for the TT.
Also, it appears people outside of the forums agree with us. Tankensteins video on the BMD-4M says that the BMD-4M should not have been a premium in the thumbnail.

My bet is that it will be the BMD-1 and be placed around the 6.7-7.0 range, since the BMP-1 has been moved up a few times recently.
