something to note: dampener inbetween the ERA elements (9 in fig. 24 and fig. 25) is made out of rubber

Don’t mislead. Initially, it was 3.5 degrees per second, then it became 4.4, like in the 80UD.
Just as I predicted, when you fire at the ERA at the same angle as in the test footage, the dart penetrates the base armour and goes into the composites, unlike the test footage where it is stopped by the base armour’s first layer. Ralin fired the round from the side of the tank, where the ERA was angled 60 degrees and the base armour was not angled, putting more than just ERA tiles in the way and thus reducing the penetration more than it should have in the test footage, where the round only hit two tiles.
Tests with correct angle:
Ralin’s test:
See how in his test, the round is hitting the base armour at almost 0 degrees, where BM42 has reduced penetration, additionally the round also hits the RHA spacer plate, which at the angle Ralin hits at, provides extra 35mm armour before the ERA is contacted, this plate is not hit in the test video due to the angle of the real test. Ralin’s test is flawed.
NOTE: The test is inconsistent and sometimes the round does stop where Ralin’s did even with the correct angle, however its a game of pixel hunting and volumetric armour.
If you plan to correct me you should do basic research, bug report managers and Gaijin affiliates first believed the gun elevation speed for the T-84 BM Oplot-T was 1 °/s but this could obviously not be possible as the Oplot-T uses the 2E42M (gun elevation drive), a modernisation over the 2E42-2 used on the T-80UD (meaning it would be physically impossible to be slower than the base T-80UD).

I said ‘believed’, not that it actually was 1 °/s in the developer server, learn to speak/read English before you come here from the RU forum lmao
“Many sources vary on the elevation speed of the BM Oplot-T, what I’m sure about is the fact that it isn’t the same as the base T-80UD, Gaijin at first thought it was 1°/s (slower than the T-80UD) which showcases the mishandling/interpreting of primary sources” - @TPS_Hydra
Merkava 3 has slower turret drive than Merkava 2 for example
I know which report this answer is from, in this case the Manager was a little wrong in the wording of the answer
this is such an idiotic answer, how do these guys even remain at their positions? dont they realise how those kinds of responses negatively affect the games reputation?
I don’t think you read my message, the 2E42M is basically a modernised 2E42-2, what gun elevation drive does both the Merkava Mk.2 and Mk.3 use? If you’re going to use them as an example, know the fundamentals of the example and the weapon systems itself.
So I was right still? I did clearly not say it was present in-game, read messages properly and if you struggle to read English, go to the section for your native language (that probably being Russian if I had to guess).
Not trying to be rude but is that specific bug report manager stupid or something? Some people are genuinely lacking a frontal lobe… The BM Oplot-T will forever remain cooked lmao.
I was simply saying that new things are not always faster than old ones.
However, as you can see, the Oplot received a rating of 4.4 degrees, the same as the T-80UD, not 1.
Yeah, after people reported on the lunacy about the fact it had a slower gun elevation speed than the base T-80UD, you physically cannot persuade me into believing the Oplot-T in real life has worse UFP than the T-80U.
Why are you fighting tooth and nail to justify a vehicle clearly implemented somewhat poorly? Are you getting paid for this or something?
Public thought on the matter
No such report was accepted. These changes are completely unrelated to the report. It was probably just a rough configuration initially.
Want me to pull up the definition of a report? If I meant bug report I would’ve told you. The Oxford definition of a ‘report’ is a written or spoken account of an event, a report can take place on forums for example - I was talking about a forum report.
They probably realised after seeing the BM Oplot-T developer forum post blowing up

Btw isn’t that btvt.info image public?
