The F-16AJ as is currently in the game is a fake vehicle.
In real life it was a modified airframe with more hardpoints to boot (which still wasn’t built anyways) while in War Thunder it is a copy/paste from another F-16.
So while the F-16AJ was a real project, the game does not represent what it was supposed to be.
Tried to translate as best I could with google. It compares the Tas with the German Panther, although it notes that the German data has not been officially disclosed by the Germans, and therefore it should be guarded.

That’s right, only the data of the German Panther tank was not handed over, the Hungarian engineers were given what they had experienced on the Panther. The Germans refused the right to remanufacture the Panther several times. However, not from the sale, so in the summer of 1944 they were able to order five armored Panther tanks for training purposes.
What is interesting to me is the gearbox, 5-speed forward and 5-speed reverse.
And NO Ammor, This width and height are specified. Tank hull and tank tower etc.
Exceptional suggestion! The prototype with the 75mm would be perfect for 4.7 with the planned production variant with the Bofors being 5.0. Finally, Italy could have a non-MBT with good armour.
This is huge. It answers the questions we had about the turret armor and actually makes it possible to have 2 versions of it and to have the TAS in game.
The person was once a war thunder helper, and as I can see, he visited the military history museum in Budapest for the documents. In 2014, there was an Italian-Hungarian tech tree project, like 6 nations (the Italian, French, Swedish, Israeli development tree). It also includes two 44M Tas tank versions.
That firing table is for the 80 mm anti air gun, which fires at 750 m/s. The 80 mm gun of the Tas fired at 872 m/s, so the performance would be different. In War Thunder, atta26 calculated the penetration with the 29/35M páncélgránát round would be 156 mm.
Great find! Do you think this is showing early development stats, as it is dated 1943 and doesn’t mention the 120 mm frontal hull armour, mentions 2 machine guns instead of 1, and doesn’t have precise information about the weight.
“Fudge you” is not an insult with intention. Just jokingly, 2nd: I hate it->ugly and cursed, 3->Super unique=Very weird and is a great fit for the game.
This should be early development as the paper is from 1943 while the blueprints that we have are from 1944. They probably changed things throughout its development.
Question is, is the 120mm noseplate correct?
Atleast we know that the turret has 100mm of armor at the rear and that it mentions the front having 75-100mm of armor which could mean that the frontal corners of the tank have 75mm as well.
I’ve been following this thread for a while now and I’m really interested in seeing this tank in the game in the future. It seems like a really well-designed and unique vehicle.
I’ve seen that some of the documents mention 100mm on the front of the turret. However, do you guys think this was upgraded during the development process or if there is a secondary frontal mantlet (possibly 75 or 100mm), that we can’t see, covered by the main 100mm one? Cause I remember seeing 200mm armor value for the turret front somewhere.
For me it seems a little bit unlikely that the Hungarian engineers would wanted to overdo the Panthers protection by that much, which was considered a very good tank. But I am not really into the topic, so yeah maybe I should not have spoken.
